  K, Ofcourse i can, although have few deliverable this week, would be relatively free from next week.

  I am not that qualified with my limited knowledge, infact I have learnt a quite a bit from you and others from this forum to tune up myself to recognize some of the naunces in IR's compositions.
  How about Vel, thopus ( from TFM) and few others from the Yahoo IR group like Vicky they might be more helpful and knowledgable to review/assist your write up and most importantly Ravi KS Ravichandran, we don't see him quite often these days.
  Please do take your time to finish your writeup so that way we will have more complete details.

  thanks for your (Rakkamma.com) uploads, man those clips are just terrific, how did you get such a great quality recordings? I do have original
  (oriental records)CDs of Payanangal Mudivadillai and Kshatriyan, but ur recording is much better than the original CD recording, also at your leisure time could u please let me know what softwares are good for splitting/splicing MP3 files?

  Prabhudas, I Vicky and Ravi are good suggestions. I will run it by them. It will take me atleast 2 weeks to get a draft out. I will probably send it out to them and see how much they can contribute. Yes, Osho, has very good recordings. I dont know how he manages it.

  Prabhudas, i use the open source wxwindows API based "Audacity" for splitting just for the simple reason that its free (Open Source). I guess its pretty good tool and i am quite impressed with it.
  
  K, Vel and VIcky are the best persons for teh job. Please run it by them.
  
  Prabhudas, isnt the guitar_interludes of payanangal mudivadillai great. I rate it among the best of guitar play along the lines of "Layla" by Eric Clapton and "Hotel California" by Eagles. I am trying to make a CD for my personal use with all IR's brilliant interludes. Thats how the mixing stuff started :)

  This is exactly what I too experimented using Soundforge 6 and vegaspro.
  I tried with various guiter & Piano based songs such as 'Velaikaran','Magalir Mattum','Marupadiyum','Kalapani','Payanangal Mudivadhilai' and so many other rare songs. I have added a mild rhythm in order to have a continuity. To my surprise, it has come just great. Now it is my fav album.

  Try to listen Tabun's Instrumental Hits of IR. The CD contains some beautiful songs in Instrumentals. The pick of the Album is 'Raja Raja Chozan Nan', 'Kadal Oviyum Padum Kaviyum' & 'Kannan Vandhu Padugiran'. Great work done by Mr.Tabun of Bombay. I expect more volumes from him.
  Few months back I heard that, this particular CD is being sold at the rate of 30 CDs a day at Music World, Spencers Plaza, chennai.

  I also happened to hear the instrumental version of classics of IR like poongathave thaazh thiravaai, kaadha oviyam in Health and Glow Bangalore , immediately enquiRed about the CD and promptly purchased it in planet M

  Who will be the custodians of the original Background tracks of IR Albums. Say Hey Ram, Guru, Moga mul, Bharati etc. Is it the Producer, or the Audio rights owner or the Composer himself?
