unbelievable efforts in TFM

unbelievable efforts in TFM....the instant song i remember is "AANDHA RAAGAM KETKUM KAALAM" in "PANNEER PUSHPANGAL"...boy, that song will live for many countless centuries to come...timeless, eternal song by maestro (listening to it as i type now)...add your UNBELIEVABLE SONG here...

  PUDHU VELLAI MAZHAI in roja...too good for someone who has just started his music career...i remember reading somewhere that Maniratnam told rehman," indha paata ketkumbodhe kuliranum." (meaning, if one hears the song he must feel the icy chill of kashmir)
  ...that is one hell of a cool song...especially, sujatha sounded so sweet in that song...

  ooooh Neutral Fan, nice to hear u giving a compliment to the Mean & Grumpy. Can't believe what I'm reading. Well, yes I agree that's one hell of a good song. I can name more, but i jus dont have much technical knowledge to back up why I think they r unbelievable efforts.
  But some of my faves:
  Thathithom from Azhagan
  Sithi irukuthu muthum irkuthu from i know-not wat movie
  Anthi ila vaanam again from know-not what movie.
  Velli malare from jodi
  Nothing unbelievable abt the above songs, but something in my mind sets them apart from ordinary songs.
  Lots more that dont quite come to my memory at the moment.

  its Sippi irukkuthu muthum irukkuthu...

  the above song "sippi irukkuthu" is from varumaiyin niram siv(g)appu, i think by MSV.took a long time to accept that its not an IR number.

  as much as u r acidic, u don't fail to bring up a few smiles now and then DEAREST WHYNOT...of course i admire quite a few songs by "mean & grumpy" guy...like VEERAPAANDI KOTTAYILE ( good WCM interludes), but these might not be stunning efforts...i guess PUDHU VELLAI MAZHAI is of such quality that rehman is yet to replace it with some other song himself.

  And talking of old timers , there is a brilliant song that is so classy for its time...have u seen "YAAR ANTHA NILAVU.." acted by SIVAJI, sung by TMS...wow, classy song..lethargic tune, yet so cool (especially listen to the charanam, brilliant).Sivaji with his transparent shirt and that heavy CIGARETTE PUFFs, steals the show (like he does in "IRAVINIL AATAM, PAGALINIL THOOKAM")
