Director's Cut

Has anyone heard of 'Director's Cut'version of Tamil movies?
I was just wondering coz after watching 'Iruvar'(for the umpteenth time), I figured much of the movie has been censored for political reasons. And it would be great iof a director's cut has been released for this film. just wondering.

  in an interview kamal said over 40mins were cut from the released version of 'guna'. surely a case for a directors cut release.

  Most of the Indian movies have a problem - The Director's Cut 'inadvertently' gets released as the final movie.:-)
