Music Composition ( info on composing and synthesing using a computer )

Hi friends!

I am a great fan of A.R. Rahman, Illyaraja, M.S. Vishwanathan
and other not so popular music composers who have given some
extra ordinary compositions. Right from my childhood days I enjoyed music and feel that music is the outlet for all human emotions. I listen more often to tamil songs and enjoyed the
brilliant compositions. I long to compose music and since I do not
have any background on instruments I intend to synthesise and
compose on a computer. I need more information on this.
