  My Dear Guru Shri Ragadeva:
  
  Each day you are growing to be immortal. With those 5 songs in the movie Guru, you have renewed my faith in the word Guru to such a limitless extent, that I want to live the word Guru and hope to see everyone else make a mark as a Guru for others.

  three months back when Guru was released, I was
  in KeraLa..due to so much hype about
  IR has used "SirungEri Symphony" and using new instruments
  (BalamuraLi puthu rAgam kaNdu pidicha kathai mAthiri)
  
  with much expectation, I bought the cassatte....
  
  When I heard it for the first time - there was something different.
  I heard it for the second time - I got the tune
  of the first song.
  
  "Guru charaNam charanam mAthA thiruvadi charaNam"
  
  Third time I heard it and really got the tune of the first song.
  Fourth time I heard it and liked the first song.
  After that I got the habbit of rewinding - after the 1st song is over.
  
  Guru eNNai "kuru kuru"kka "kiru kiru"kka vaikkumnu
  ninaithu "tharu puru"nnu pOchu.
  
  ippa antha casatte-aip pArthA "thru thiru"nu muzikkirEn.
  
  Nithin: neenga solra aLavukku athu piramAthamA illai, IMO.
  
  Also I think, this is a sort of experiment by IR
  to feel the pulse of the makkaL's taste for western

But honestly Shashi vEru oru threadil sonna mAdhiri, no words can do any good!! IvvaLavu different songs idhuvarai kEttadhillai. andha pAttA, indha pAtta yendru asaravaikkum aLavukku Raaja nammai isai yennum inba veLLaththil thaLLi irukkirAr. His CIF 568 supersedes CIF 567 and on and on and on........

  Thanks for the replies. I have similar thoughts as outlined here by all of you.
  
  First, I began to fall in love with Guru after the thrid hearing. Each song is outstanding and most unusual. All the 5 songs are in a class of their own. Especially, the interludes, Raaja is reaching his old heights!

  Another +ve point in GURU is the BGM. It
  should be rated higher than the songs. Then
  imagice the creativity of IR. CIF should have
  crossed 600 now.
  
  BTW, i heard that IR is composing music for
  another mallu movie and album is released.

  For that matter even most of the songs in Siraichaalai had a strong malayalam accent to it if you had noticed. (Story has Mohanlal - from Kerala playing a major part in the movie). If you notice in one of the songs - SPB pronounces so well in a Malayalam accent !.

  sorry for my ignorance, but is this the same Malayalam movie Guru which was released a few years back? i remember that Guru made use of Hungarian players for orchestra...
