  I don't think that we should just select one single person from the unit and glorify him of this films success. It's just not a box office hit. It's Oscar. So, lets not take ARR a say that only because of him it happened. Yes, as I have always said ARR works as a team. This is a proof to say that he had team up with the right team. When, he teams up with wrong people, even though he scores a century he looses. Ex. PP.

  Common Friend, I agree with you about not glorifying a single person in the entire unit, but as this is a tfm forum, I think people r jus trying to stay true to the theme of the forum by discussing the musical aspect of it and the MD, a tfm MD. Nothing wrong with that.

  I agree with you 100%. But, think what will be the repurcussions here. When this glorification goes on, a set (huge set) of fans will feel that praising ARR indirectly means criticizing their idol. So, they will try to justify their point here, which eventually will lead to some bashing or false allegation against ARR. Then we have to come for the resque and try to argue and again, that will become a never ending process. Many oscars will pass, but still the fight will continue. Just think about the future.   arr's contribution to lagaan is considerable, as the songs were super-duper hit and the BGM if not great was subdued and didn't hinder the flow of the movie like his score normally does...In fact the theme was a great piece and silence was used quite effectively in some places.

  well what u said is correct except that the example was wrong...if u say duet, where the team except arr (and theoritcally KB) was bad, but a good show didn't click (though the songs were hit, the movie was a super flop), i can admit that....PP was junk in every aspect including music!!

  I disagree. Listen it now, you may like it. Probably, I shouldn't have said century. Too much isn't it. But, definitely a half century. No doubt. You should also take into account the playing conditions yaar. When the game itself is boring and the captain is uninspiring, U can't expect Sachin to score a century.
