Malarndum Malaradavai

Ceylon Radio used to have this program called Malarndum Malaradavai...
It showcased the songs that never made to the movies..for instance, Putham Puthuk Kaalai (Alaigal Oyvadillai)
Even though most such songs were featured in the music albums, some never made it even there.

Has anyone listened to "MATHAPPOVU ORU PENNA AGADAA" from the film "Michael Madana Kama Rajan"? It's a beautiful song, with a terrific offbeat rhythmic cycle sung by Chitra, which was released only in a few versions of the album. Is this a lone case or are there many more?

  I think there is one small song in Salanai Oli which is not used in the movie. I think it goes as "Kaveri Mangai". Correct me if I am wrong. This song was later supposed to have been used by Vamshi in his telugu film, "Sitara".

  There is good (SJ solo)song peN poovE..peN poovE..kaRRil Adum poovE.. in oru OOrla oru rAjakumAri. This was missing in the film (BAgyarAj changed the story later, I believe). Another good song in the same film, kaNmaNi..kAthal vAzhavENdum was (aniyaayamaa) shortened in the film.
