Backmasking in TFM

hi, do any of you came across this methos called BAck Masking....

it is a method of playing a song backwards at certain speed and try to get the message out of it...

a lot of english songs have been said to have encoded message abt Satan and stuff when it played backward...

for example Led Zappelin's Stairway To Heaven contains a full paragraph which can be played backward and we can hear it is praising satan or sort....

Some of Michael Jacksons', Madonnas' songs also linked to this kinda stuff...have anyone tried with Tamil music ?

  I'm not sure about this one, but I've heard ppl say this.. 'Hotel California' when played in the reverse has some anti-christ words..I havent checked the genuinity of this, so dont blame me If I'm wrong...

  This i believe is only possible in phonograph records. I have heard confirmations (from my college roommate who was a metal head) of Hotel California, songs by Beatles and many heavy metal bands like KISS that supposedly had satanic verses (okay an unneeded plug for Rushdie here) in their songs when backmasked.

  many years ago we had the songs of thyAgam on a cassette. by some divine (or demonic) interference, the song nallavarkkellAm always played backwards. imagine the aged tms singing backwards. it sure sounded very satanic (or may be sUniyamic). once we had a very bone chilling experience with this song. people living in the house behind ours had gone for a vacation but had left the windows open. from our moTTa mATi, i saw through the window a kaithan ceiling fan chuththing at onRarai speed. i didnt go the moTTa mATi for another whole year. !!!

  I dont think if teh songs are meant to b played backwards..
  when they are played, it just mutters some gibberish.
  It is our brain that tries to interpret them the way we do. Even if it says something like "Rats live on no evil star" our brain interprets them as "Drats. Give Ono a big scar". Ok sounds juvenile.. dont mind!
  there was a show on Ghosts talking on Discovery.. they showed it was just the sound of breeze and other disturbances played backwards leaving the rest to our mind.
  But if this is for real.. please enligten me!

  i have visited a few websites which actually have these songs played backward....
  
  if one or two sentences only that sounds like some satanic words..we can call it coincedence...but if a whole paragraph..like teh Stair Way to heaven?...
  
  and normally...how come they could produce a proper sentence?....something weird huh?...

  prabu: didn't you notice i didn't use any smiley :-). it was all real. the fan had a red center. (i think it was only kaithan which had this "style"!).
  
  i didn't make up anything; i just mixed a couple of true events :-). the nallavarkellAm tape used to give us immense enjoyment - especially during summer days ... sitting under the mAmaram on a Unjal (andhath thAmbuk kayiRu Unjalukkum saNdai - adhu vERu kadhai!) and listening to this and some time falling down laughing our guts out! growing up in a non-christian tradition, we never learnt any of these "satan" workship (recently a friend of mine called the movie "end of days" as a movie involving black magic :-)) ), we never "feared" this backmasking (or backward playing). it was only a source of great enjoyment. m... good old days.
  
  regarding hotel california: one could interpret the lyrics itself as a satan worship. to me it's like finding a "repetition" of some old song in (any/all) ARR song! (appA siNdu mudinjAchchu ;) )

  songs can be played reverse on casette players byhead shifting.. try shifting the magneting head a little forward, so that the head plays the side-B track when you play your tape sideA-facing.

  Backmasking has been used by ARR in Thenali title song.... You can here Linaathae Oh!! in chorus which is back mash=ked from Oh! Thenali. I think he has done that earlier in some other songs too.

  I have a couple of damaged tamil audio cassettes. When I play 'A' side, I get the reverse of 'B' side songs... that's one way playing a song in reverse, I guess. Give a tape to a 1 yr old child and that will do it for you...
  
  Namma tamil lyricists sadharanama paattu ezhudhave manndaya odachukkiranga. Idhula reverse-la padinalum meaning varanumna -- sorry that's too much to ask.

  I think the people who made the record or whatevre added words in there and u can only hear it when u play it backward.
