IR, The Comedian!

Hi Friends,
It's time we recognised that IR is the only person who gives equal importance to comedy as an emotion and as a song situation. Just have a ear at these songs which though convey a sense of comedy have great compositional skills. In fact, IR is the first and only person till now who broke the feeling, "comedy paattukku idhu podhum" and brought it to the center stage:

1) Maamaavukku Kuduma - Punnagai Mannan
2) En Pathiramaathu - En Bommukutti Ammavukku
3) Mappillai Mappillai - Paasap Paravaigal
4) Namma Boss - Naangal
5) Gundu Onnu - Arangetra Velai
6) Ooru Vittu - Karagaattakkaaran
7) Anne Anne - Kozhi Koovuthu
8) Pachaiyappa - Thendral Varum Theru
9) Maamanukku - Velaikkaaran
10) Summa Thodavum - Mudhal Vasantham

and many more etc., etc.,.......

Can we discuss this in detail?

  I never dictated what you should do. I only suggested something. If you didn't like it, that is fine. You need not have to conclude that I am afraid for that.
  
  And Vijay started this thread to highlight IR's unique ability in composing very good music for comical situations (like Sathi Leelavati etc).
  He is not forcing anyone to agree with him. You can disagree with him and bring our arguments in your support (like examples).

  I agreed with all ur points except this one. Why was this personal attack done. Is this neccesary?

  This id the thing that I hate with Pro-IR people.. why degrade urself to attack a person...
  within a few words after u say that this forum is
  to discuss IR's comedy skills.
  
  when u start a forum expect critisim of all kinds.. and if u react to bad critisism in the same vein... u r just exposng urself.
  
  i think swamiji is running around thinking he is brutally frank and he is under the assumption that other people who dont publicize their music knowledge like him, do not know anything abt music... Its high time I chase down swamiji wherever he goes and sc..rew his happines so that he learns a lesson.... i have done it b4 and wudnt hesistate to do it again...

  I understand your points but Raghuvir was out with a vengeance. He may not have addressed me as a low IQ person but He criticized IR personally and not about His music.
  
  According to me, any attack on IR is on me too! So, I think I have justified your query.

  Bharath, i think u are stupid in all the threads u need not act. Paartha vizhi paartha padi and Isayil are based on two totally different raagas. Even a music amateur will know the difference without knowing raagas themselves. The two songs deviate notewise even at the first phrase. Only idiots like u ask stupid questions. You wouldnt have made yourself stupid if you had just asked the name of the raaga. Instead u "felt" they were the same - which even an illiterate will know.
  BTW, I don't publicize my music knowledge but teach those that are zeros (including you).

I am surprised u lived 50 years and that no one killed u. going by the way u behave in public, which resembles a pig from the rivers of kovum full of shi..t and obnoxious smelly stuff.. I am even suprised how u raised children... i think ur son/daughter wud have killed u .... and saved the rest of the worl the trouble of doing it.

  Please stop these kind of arguments personally offending each other. I used to love frequenting this site to read some interesting topics and offer my suggestions. But, of late, this has become more of a fight thread than a music thread.
