  Can any one confirm if this was the original to the Hindi's much-talked about hit, 'PadOsan'?
  That loathsome character Mahmood resumed the trend of ridiculing South Indians with this film, and many HFM buffs think this was such an original comedy.
  
  KaNgaLum Kavi PAduthe is such a great song.. Sirgazhi and PBS were great in this song set to HindoLam. The Hindi version was 'Ek Chatur Naar Karke ShingAr', which also was a big hit.

  Trisha,
  Padosan came around late 60s and AVP came in mid 50s. Sakthi came in mid 80's, I think, and thangapadakam came around in 70s and it was a play written by directory mahendran, which was made as movie.

  MD of this film is Adhinarayana rao.He is the husband of the film heroine Anjalidevi.Original in TELUGU first Tamil later and HINDI vesion came 10 years later with R.d Burman music and famous song MERI SAMNEWALI KIDIKE MAIN. muscat sunder.
