Which film is a great hit? Is it Vasool Raja or Shankar Dada?

  I think, Shankar started very well and plummetted after that. I would say Vasool Raja is a better hit than Shankar Dada

  Don't say Munna is the mother. Infact Munna was a photocopy of a popular Hollywood movie. I didn't include Munna in this thread because, we can't compare Hindi collections with Tamil/Telugu collections mainly due to the far reach of bollywood films.

  I have seen V.Rajah, here my views
  
  Bad Ones
  
  1) Kamal was Pathetic at Comedy Scenes, really pathetic
  2) Prabhu's talents were wasted
  3) Screenplay was irritatingly boring
  4) Prakash Raj was highly irritating with his Laughter
  5) Veteran actor Nagesh was not given a meaty role!
  
  Good points
  
  1) Songs were OK, esp the ones that Kamal sang!
  2) Kamal's acting towards the end was tremendously applaudable
  3) No Typical Kamal style Vulgar Scenes
  4) Sneha was a Good choice for the role.
  
  On the whole, the film was Pathetic!, so boring , some one of Kamal's calibre should not have done this, this film is tailor made for Pandiyarajan type of Comedy actors!

  Idle brain.com&Telugucinema.com are giving different versions about Shankar dada's performance at the boxoffice but both are talking in terms of money collected,distributor's share etc.As far as Vasoolraja(or for that matter any tamil film)is concerned the public doesn't have access to info on collections.So how can both these films be compared as far their BO performance is concerned.

  MB was an excellent movie....And till now nobody has disproved its originality...but you may be the first one to disprove or be the Nth person to get proved that you are blabbering.

  I don't know from which movie MB crew got the 'inspiration', what all I said was, comparing Hindi movie collections with Tamil/Telugu can't be done because of the far reach of Hindi Movies.
  I never said that MB was a flop, but it was definitely an 'inspired' theme

  I learnt that MB was an inspired theme from one of the Hollywood movies in some web site (i can't recollect it). Whatever you say is a news to me. If that's right let it be.

  That was a bad joke..
  
  Those who have seen patch adams and MB MBBS will say that both the films resembles in only one aspect, that the protognist plays a good curing doctor.
  
  In Patch adams, Robin williams is a doctor who cures patients with soft words, humour and other natural humanly means, MB MBBS is a comedy on how a gangster turns a medical collage upside down and what values doctors have got.

  I can speak and understand both telugu and tamil. I have seen both the movies. I keep track of both movie fields (telugu and tamil).
  what i feel is chiru's performance is incomparable to any thing.He is awsome in shankar dada. Mainly he did comedy real good. I expected more out of kamal hassan , but nothing special at the same time it looked bored on other characters like prakash raj, prabhu etc.
  
  Guys in tamilnadu need to get numbers from the box office, only then they can realize that they cannot compare with shankar dada. s.dada has tremdous response and collected record high. I even know people who bought ticket for $100(regular price /not black) in the first week of the release.

  I disagree with you . I heard from lot of my telugu friends that the collections of SD has been inflated to make it look like hit and that the movie is being dragged for records in AP . My friends in Boston watched SD in theatre and told me that the movie is bad . And you have to check the ROI ( return of investment ) rather than the collection since the movie was bought for a hefty amount by distributors .
