hi,
The first song kamal sang for himself is (I think) Panneer Pushpangale from aval appadhithan.
Kamal has sung for Mohan in "O Maanae maanae"!!!
The song is "ponmanai theduthey!!
How about kamal singing for ajith in ullasam?

adhu sari, what's wrong with SJ singing for Urvashi? After all, her first film (MM) was 100% SJ only! And if SJ can sing for her, why not KSC?

Eden, The discussion is 'Unusual voices for actors ' and not 'Unusual singers for actors'. In the songs that I have referred, the singers have definitely digressed from their original voices.

Any comments?

Nothing to beat this! Sirkazhi Govindarajan has sung for Rajani in Ranuva Veeran. It is a folk drama song (regret I forgot the words).

I think the most unusual thing in tfm is udit sang for rajini in muthu.Still now i cant except that, how arr.rahman can chooise udit for rajini songs!The more worst is his pronunciation.
Second is sukwinder sigh sang 'welcome girls welcome boys' in 'priyamanavele' for vijay.This is really too much.Another song is 'minsara poove'from padayappa which sang by srinivas for rajini.This is more funniest thing.What we making MD's to choose this kind of unusual singer for certain actors?!
For rajini S.P.B only can gave the best play back voice and for vijay is hariharan.
Any comment on this?

but i cant agree that spb is the only can sing for rajini,coz in the early 90's mano was doing that job...

and for the unusual voice is
1. sahul hameed for prabhu in ulavan
2. sabesh for vivek in lootie
3. deva for thalaivasal vijay in kathal kottai
4. amul baby for vijaykanth in vanjinathan
5. janaki for preity zintha in uyire
6. asha boshle for iswaria in meera
7. jerry for karthik in thotta chinunggi
8. sabesh for prabhu deva in ninaivirukkum varai
9. harini for nagma in pistha

those are for me ...
if any mistake is done ...
im down to my knees and apologise to the concerned person...

Something to ponder about...
It is not unusual for SriKaali to sing for Sivaj.
He has sang for him in Valli thirumanam, manithanum Deivamaagalaam and punar genmam as far as I know.And Odi villaiyaadu Pappa is sang for Sivaji in Kappal Ootiya Thamzhan.
Anyway any male playback singers can sing for Sivaji and he can mime well to make it acceptable.
Even Chandrababu has sang for Sivaji in Kalyaanam
Panniyum Bramachaari. the song is Kalyaanam, Kalyaanam
