The Replacement Killers? - Deva and his clowns

hey guys, as i see most of the discussion goes on about raja and rahman. But when we look at reality, it is not these two who are, so to say w.r.t amount of films, successful.. But instead its the likes of deva, S.A.R, sirpi and adithyan who are doing the rounds. Bharadwaj and Vidyasagar are different but they are nt as successful as the former. Why? bcoz arr and ir charge too high or producers actually consider SAR and sirpi make good music?

  You know what, I was going to put the same question to you guys - but you did it before me, Travis. Anyway, here is my explanation - A R Rahman and Ilayaraja take time to compose the music and then they have to record it - the composing process will take at least three weeks. In the case of Deva, recording can start almost immediately - there is no composing as such, since all he has to do is search for a suitable piece of music to copy. And of course, A R Rahman and Ilayaraja do charge quite a bit more than the others because they give original music.

  I dont have that much knowledge in WC... When I listened to the wonderful WC bit in 'kalyanam katcheri' in avvai shanmguhi, I thought Deva is some composer... But later I got to listen to the legendary Pyotr Tchaikovsky's The Swan Lake ballet. You will be surprised, deva didnt even bother to change anything at all from the 'Dance of the Swans' from the ballet... The WC bit by him is direct CD-to-CD recording of Tchaikovsky's composition...
  
  In an ironical way, I am happy that at least deva is getting inspiration from all directions.. especially with his eight brothers with the sole mission of getting quality music from all 'ettu thikku'.(eight directions)!! :-)

  I have a different opinion about the point ...Ilayaraja take time to compose the music and then they have to record it. IR is still the fastest MD in TFM. Also, IMO, he is paid lesser than Deva and ofcourse very very less than ARR.
  
  My opinion is that TF Industry is having lots of ordinary(a.k.a Medium range, Medium budget) producers. I'm not finding any fault, im just stating a fact.
  
  ARR is a big-banner fellow, meaning he charges too much(with respect to an ordinary producer); his music is very rich that is not (generally)necessary for ordinary movies, And ofcourse he takes more time to give his output because of fine-tuning of his products. So these ordinary producers, though would like to work with ARR, are not going to him.
  
  IR, though charges less and gives output very fast, is not approached by many producers. Because nowadays, he is seemed as not-so-lucky-MD (irony, thats what life and time is). His products are seemed as not super-duper hits.
  
  Now in such situations you still can get products of IR and ARR, very cheaply and almost very fast. How? "Recycling their products and others' products and give a new product" idea by MDs like SAR, sirpi and Deva (i know, im very harsh...but this is imo. i know that they are brilliants and genius; and when compared to them i'm nothing. but what to do, im comparing them with greats like MSV, IR and ARR).
