A R Rahman uses RAJA GEETHAM Winner

ARR uses 'Raja Geetham' winner

I'm sorry I forgot where I read this news...most probably in the
Tamil mag Kumudham reporter (though I'm not sure of that too!!)...but
here goes...

There's a popular Tamil singing contest (sorta like Sa re ga ma pa in
Zee TV) in Raj TV hosted by Abdul Hameed. The program recently had
its grand finale where a singer was chosen as the best singer of all
contestants (sorry, forgot his name too!!). Seems he has been called
by Rahman and he has already sung a song in Bharathiraja's 'Kangalaal
Kaithu sei' with music by ARR.

  well yes... there is a prg on Raj TV called Raja geetham. But as far as i ve seen.... it s not all that great. I mean it s not all that standard. Nothing like Sa Re Ga Ma on Zee. Even that i think, after Sonu Nigam has lost the old standard.

  well....the offer for the song was one of the prizes which Raj Geetham offered....the winners (male and female) were to sing a song for ARR in Bharatiraja's movie...

  Mukesh is a very talented singer, Once i went the shoot of this show and he sung "Ullathil Nalla ullam" extraordinarily and i voted for him

  Mukesh is a very good singer. He has not learned carnatic music. But he performed very well in Raja Geetham. Especially the songs chosen by him was all carnatic based songs. He has done it excellent. The song he sang in the final i.e., Pattum Nanee was simply excellent. It was not much competitive last ime. But this time which is going to happen on December 10th, it will be of highly competitive one.
