Baba tune in Desam

Hey everybody..!!
A.R.Rahman has reused a tune from baba.
What do u think about that? I think it was okay, to use it for the Hindi version, Swades.
But i think its not pretty good to use it in the tamil version. What do u think..?

  I liked the different tune from baba.If the song is in the movie its obviously gonna come back to the tamil version, afterall its a dubbed movie.

  Simply shows the pathetic state of ARR's tune dry condition. And how many movies has he made or for that matter, how many songs has he composed with original tunes??? Already he has started recycling tunes...that's very sad. Of course our dear friends will say the producer or director must have wanted it. And sure they would have already planned to dub it in tamil at that time....It is obvious from the other tunes in Swades, ARR is going down..no more Dil Se or Taal type of tunes left in him. He is dry!!! And still foools will compare him with maestro who have been composing for more than 800 films!!!

  There is nothing wrong in using it in the Tamil version. The song is excellent. Especially the vocal of Aslam in Tamil one. He is NOT Aslam musthafa. He is a versatile stage singer in many languages. One of the highest paid stage singers in India. He is the person who actually sang "Dil Ne jisse apna kaha" title. However, it was changed because, of kamal khaan being the friend of Salman, and atul agnihotri. There is much more of Aslam to come. The baba song is so excellently sang by Aslam that, it is much better than the original hindi, what Udit has sung.
  
  And also that "sevaanam" from Pavithra is already there in movie "Ashokan". "Raakkozhi" from Uzhavan has already been used in movie "Manitha manitha" as "nee etti etti thottu vachukka". No complains about that? Y when there is complete change in music from Baba song is put in Desam???
  
  Also one biggest hit "gurus of peace" taken from "porale" karuthamma. No issues about that?
  
  Atleast ARR is copying from his own. Not doing like other MDs.

  Heey, u misunderstand me. I know A.R.Rahman copy his songs to other languages, & thats okay.

  Doli Saja Ke Rakhna..is a remake of Kathalukku Mariyathai..
  then it's song re-worked for Jodi...and also re-worked again as an Oonjal!...

  JP,oonjal was not released by ARRahman,its releaseed by some band which they loved DSKR songs so they wanted to have it in tamil,so they recorded it in tamil,with cine singers...also,they wrote ISAI TOGUPPE ARRahman..hope u get it!!!it was released b4 Jodi...also,Jodi is 1 of the Mega HITS in 1999 by ARRahman..no one cares bout Oonjal coz only the basic tune & beats by ARR,but voice,lyrics,audio rights all by RAMIY!

  Yes KK, ARR is not someone who is to be compared to IR. Reasons, here are they...
  
  Out of the 800 films the maestro composed for, can you post the names of atleast a 100 movies which you remember only bcoz of songs? Out of ARRs movies, I can post many for that matter.
  
  Secondly IR worked on 800 movies but got only 3 National Awards, while for ARR it took only under 100 for his 4 National Awards. And dont say it is bcoz of North vs. South problem bcoz out of the 4, 3 were won for tamil movies.
  
  Finally, you know why ARR has fans of any age or class (unlike IR whose fans pretend to belong to the 'intellectuals' class)? It is not only bcoz of his soulful composition but also due to his humble character and amiable nature, something where IR failed miserably.
  
  Now you can say that again - "And still foools will compare him with maestro".
  
  True KK. Thats why A R Rahman is called Mozart of Madras.

  Hi guys, just coming home after watching Desam in Shanthi, Chennai. Wanted to share my experience. I should say the tamil dubbing in the movie is pretty good. Thank god its not the usual Junoon Thamizh!! The voices(neither too rough or too soft) also match quite well with the screen actors' profile unlike the dubbed movies in star vijay and previous theatrical releases. Their dialogues are pretty clear and stick to the basic most of the time but, at times they go full-thamizh like "Kallaamai" referring Illetracy and "Minsaram" for electricity. For a normal tamilian like me(?!) these words do strike an odd tone because I've been using the word "Current" as such to refer Electricity and dont usual use words like "Minsaaram", "Kallamai", etc., They could have avoided such mentions but guess am asking too much from a dubbed movie. Rahman has done his part well with the songs and bgms.
  
  A well-dubbed movie.

  C'mon KK. You have nothing to reply to my questions to prove IR is better and thats why you come up with sick stuff. IT is a fact man, accept it.
