I was listening to mom's 70s Tamil movie songs collection and I came across the nighingale's voice and I immediately fell in love with her voice. Such a beautiful sweet tasty voice and I started doing a reserch of her songe and I came up with few. PLease anyone else have anyother info or songs sung by B Vasantha please post it.

  Her famous number was "Yesu naadhar pesinaal" from ThaayE Unakkaaga.

  Two years back, for Navarathri Kolu festival, we invited our friends. It was a shock and surprise to see BV also coming along. Came to know that BV is mom of our neighbour. Then all our attention went to make her singing her songs. She preferred devotional numbers. On my repeated request, she sang the first line from ‘Raaga devadhai’ song. She did not remember the Tamil lyrics, but on my lead inputs she picked up and sang that “hey Krishna.. mukundhaa.. murare..” in high pitch. It was fabulous.
  
  She still has a lovely voice and we enjoyed listening to her :-)
