Bharathiyar Songs in TFM

Which MD did more songs for bharathiyar's lyrics than anybody else? Is it MSV, G.Ramanathan or IR or someone else?.

  All the songs from the movie "Eezhavathu Manithan" were Bharathiyaar songs. "Kaakkaich chirraginiley Nandalala" (By Yesudas) was a great one.

  As GV pointed out AV Meyiappa Chettiyaar has done a yeoman service by bringing barathiyaar songs into public domain.
  
  sutha pEthal! Actually history is other way around. Greate people like jeeva and others had to have a looong fight with AVM and the then rulers to bring barathy songs into public domain.

  Ok I'll reframe my sentence AV Meyappa Chettiyar went a long way in popularising Barathiyaar songs & taking them to the common man. Hope you have no problem now.

  kaakai chiraginile from Ezhavathu manithan was sung by SPB.
  Veenaiadi nee ennakku was the song sung by KJY & Neerja.
  I think you have mixed up the songs. SPB & KJY have different & distinct voice.

  Did u guys hear the song "Senthamizh nadennum podhinile" from yEzhaavathu manithan by PS, Neeraja and Chorus. L. Vaidyanathan has scored a fabulous met for that... It was very fast moving beats...

  Mr.Vengayam,
  
  I’m sorry…my intention was not to correct your english but your ‘history’:-) Thought to say - people like Jeevanatham and others had fought **against** AVM and the then rulers! That’s because Mr. Meyyappan chettiyar had got the copyright of bharathy’s poems (all works) from chellamma baharthy just for ten thousand rupees and never was ready to give it back, as a business man he knew the market value of bharathy. At last he was forced to accept for it. So there was no real “social service business” as you mentioned. (Source: Bharathi muthal mahakavi varai)
  
  I’m most bothered about this created “avm stories” because bharthy was not after all a cinema artist.
