Tamil MIDI

Hi

I have tried arranging a few songs in MIDI, so if you have a sound card you can play using
Media Player.

I currently have the following: please
e-mail me if you want these midi files. Someday
I am planning to create a Tamil MIDI page.

1. Ennuyire, Vaa Ennaruhe :

from Poonthotta KavalKaran

2. Telephone Manipol - (Indian)

Just the intro

3. Pachcharisi Mavidichi
(guess what? It is the folk intro for
the song ' Madura Marikozhundhu vasam')

4. A bit of 'Ilamai Idho Idho'


MIDI has further advantages that you can read the song notes in a sequencer software, hear one
track at a time, shift the key, tempo etc.
You can singalong with the sound card!

World over, quite a lot of songs have been
transcribed into MIDI, but not many (any?) Tamil
songs.

  you are indeed a great player. Please keep up the good work. May be you can consult with Mr.Srikanth who is a composer / player himself. you may also wish to contact Mr. Raja Govindarajan (rajaG) in this forum who is an excellent singer. May be you can produce great melodies by a group effort.

  Another suggestion which just popped up in my mind:
  
  
  We have been raving about the recreation of the IR's fantastic bgms on a CD. Now that the ways we know have been almost closed, I feel it may be a good idea for you soulful players (Naveen, rjay,Srikanth and rajaG ( yes, there are many bgms with humming ;-)) to play the songs, record them on a CD and sell.
  
  for the BGMs, I am sure you can get great help from Rex and G.Suresh and all other IR songs web masters. May be you can all patchup for a venture to bring out atleast one CD full of attractive bgms like "mouna raagam".
  
  The best I can do from my side now is to provide here a list of the e-mail ids of a all the persons whom I feel may get along to produce this wonderful CD:

  Thanks for your appreciation. I know Srikanth & RJay very vell. We were living in Quad cities. Both of them are Good Composers and Keyboard players. Yeah, thats a good idea. Actually, if we all plan well, we can produce quality music better than our film music. (It may sound funny!!! but it is true.. )
