Yatra Mozhi starring Sivaji and Mohanlal has come as a great surprise. It is easily one of the finest movies I have seen in a long time. Sivaji's provides such a deal of godfatherliness, while Mohanlal plays a delicate role in the movie.
It has been my hope to see the great stalwarts such as Sivaji, Mohan Lal and Nedumudi Venu together with Raaja in a movie. Thanks to Pratap Pothen, these great heroes of south Indian popular culture have been brought together and in such a poignant and sentimental film.
Can someone tell me how this movie fared in Kerala and Tamizhnad? I would declare it as the movie of the year, best direction, best acting (Sivaji). Was it a hit or a loss?
Raaja has given two songs to the movie. One is a fantastic duet and the other is a Tamil number sung by Raaja and I think Unni Menon. Gopal and MPR has a different song in Real audio format in their sites? Is that a third song? It was not there in the movie.
Anyway, guys don't miss the movie. It has got a good dose of understandable malayalam dialogues and Tamizh dialogues friom Sivaji.
Please give some feedback, since I have not heard positive reviews about the movie earlier.

as far as yatra mozhi is concerned i'll say that IR has given a wonderful varietee.his style for furu and yatra mozhi are 2 extremes.in guru maestro concentrated on western classical types and for YM he has given a silkeee touch of melodee leaves.

As far as my knowledge is concerned both YathraMozhi as well as Guru has fared badly in box office terms. Especially Guru, which, I heard was an off-beat, artistic sort of film. Well this happens to all "off-beat" films but the real thing to wait is the awards for these movies from foreign countries as the movies that are dropped by the State Award committee always seem to make it in international festivals.
