Is there any successor to SPB?

I don't think there is any match for SPB's greatness, what are your views?

  Hmm...this is a tough one.
  
  Logically speaking, I don't think that the future holds a place for true heirs. What I mean is, SPB was able to hold on for 30 years. But in this fast paced time, I don't think anyone would be able to hold for so long. Maybe we will have talents coming in and going out but not many will be able to hold on. Even Hariharn, reputed as SPB's heir has lost his charm. "Alavukku meerinal amuthamum kasakkum" enpaarkal. There are some talented youngsters. I like Karthik, who can infuses life into a peppy number just the way SPB can. But I don't think he is as versatile as the latter. Besides him, everyone else pretty much the same.
  
  On the female side, I believe Sadhana Sargam will be the next PS.

  very well said, I agree with u, I also like Karthik, he is good.
  
  now coming to sadhana sargam being the successor to PS, no way, man. PS is unique just like SPB, SJ, no one can replace PS in terms of voice & SJ in terms of versatility.

  There was a 1/4 sarcasm, 1/4 annoyance and 1/2 fun in my last sentence. It wasn't a serious statement. I just wanted to see Karthi's reaction, but he seems to have lost his passion for PS:-)

  What made u say so easily that Hari has lost his charm?
  He might not be an heir to SPB exactly due to his late entry but that does not in any way diminsh his charm and the mellifluous voice he has.He still Rules his own KingDom!

  And one more thing it would not be right to compare Hari and SPB and decide whether he is succesor to him.Hari does not need to suceed anyone.He is one of the likes of Mehdi Hassan or Raffi.There are so many qualities for comparison and one might excel the other in each attribute !
  It is only Fair to say that Both are immensely performing artists in their own ways.I will only say Hari is equivalent to SPB

  Can you pls, elaborate more on as to how Nasal Hari would be the successor of the mellifluous voice of Dr.SPB?
  
  Hari has an irritating nasal voice, he can NOT express emotions through singing, he can NOT modulate his voice to suit actors, he sings all the song, be it pathos/ fast beat, with the same BORING style, yet you claim he can be the successor to SPB?
  
  FYI, Hariharan has said his favourite singers are SPB & KJY!!
