ARR,AMEER,LAAGAN and OSCAR

All times in EST +10:30 for IST.

Out of 57 foreign category films juries have short listed 8 films and Lagaan is one of the 8 films..As yhe final BETS are between French film Amli and Lagaan for the final OSCAR...it is sure Lagaan will be one among the final five for last day nominations....OH...OSCAR IS SO CLOSE AND YET SO FAR FOR A.R.R. AND AMEER....

  The results (of the 5 nominated) shud be announced on 12th Feb (Tues)
  but it's good enuf tat it was listed amongst top 8. That's an achievement in itself.

  what is this "top 8" nonsense?! either it makes it to the top 5 or doesn't. I have a feeling Aamir would have asked some Committee member his opinion about the movie, and the guy, in typical polite-American style, would have said :"The movie was very interesting...very different...and interesting"..and Aamir got carried away..having said that..I wish the movie good luck for the Tuesday nomination announcement.

  There is nothing like top 8!. Amir is speculating, by the response he got from the viewers. Mr. AA doesnt need one more thread for this to waste our time...just stay with your kodambakkam updates!.
