IR + ARR

can there be no one who is HCIRF and also ARF...??The other day my friend was telling his friend abt me that I am HCIRF ....that persone immdtly said ...oh u don like AR ?? ...........HUH........what thinking !! when i say I like even AR he is surprised and looking me as if something is wrong !!
Many HCIRFs in threads I am observing are AR haters and ARFs are IR Haters...Guys do u think IR+AR Fans is meaningless??....OK FIRE!!

  I was an IR fan and ARR fan. For some obvious reasons, I changed. Even though I am an IR(80's) fan internally, I don't want to say that here because, it has become so that all IRFans are equated to people who hate all other MDs. I am not so.
  I am a big fan of ARR and would appriciate even TR's Son silambarasan if he scores good music.

  I am a big fan of IR. IMO, every one of his song is a research material (yes, to be reasonable, I do not include his recent movies). There are so many surprises and intelligence in his interludes and BGM's. It's only for those who look for it. But it doesn't mean that I don't like ARR. I like many ARR's songs. I have a big favourite list of ARR's songs. To challenge IR, who was in the field for many years and to divert people from listening IR's songs was not a simple task. ARR did that in one movie, Roja. That wasn't easy. And it was ARR who changed the whole north indian crowed to turn towards him. I like both IR and ARR. The thing is that I like IR more than ARR because I grew up with IR's music.
  
  There are just 2 thing that I don't like about ARR's music is that he synthesizes singer's voice more than what is required and that makes the song a bit artificial and secondly he gives less importance to tamizh as a language....and now everyone is following this trend. (you can see a lot of tamizh killing in deva's recent movies) but again, people may say that this isn't a big deal but as far as I am concerned this is something ARR should feel responsible for.

  I am a big fan of IR. I have never been impressed by ARR. In my opinion, ARR has not even achieved a tenth of IR's accomplishments to even have a fire comparision of both. I have listened to songs hailed ny the ARR fanatics as trendsetting like the "haira haira" of Jeans and failed to comprehend the merits.
  
  I have been in Marketing both as a student and practitioner for 15 years and there is a clear explanation for how ARR got popular. It had more to do with consumer pyschographics and positioning than with any musical experise.
  
  However, what I find is very idiotic which is so commonly espoused by some people in this forum who I think consider themselves as smart and superior is that they cannot accept that there are people like me who look forward to every new IR album, enjoy them and don't think too much of ARR. They end up in their tireless of pursuit of trying to convert everyone to have their opinion but in doing so constantly expose their ignorance and stupidity.
