  Once Thiru. Subbudu(music analyst) wrote in India today. " Tamil pzhuthiyil purandu ezhundu varukindra isai rajavin isai. So as Rd.burhman in north. Since their music reflect the ordinary people’s life and culture, It’s ruling our heart for ever." He feels that good music will represent people’s life and culture.
  
  Here I would like to focus how the lyric contents improve the quality of song. Others (especially ramesh ,udhaya) have already analyzed everything in detail. I don’t think that they have left out anything for others to continue : -)
  
  'Malligai poovay mari vida Asai' - aesthetic sense, kind of inability. Man’s inability is always to posses the nature! ‘Vizhi irandum kadal aanathe enathu manam padakanthe’- good. ‘Kadal alai thee pidithal meenkalin kanavukal kalaivathillai’(tajmahal). How did he find this truth?!
  
  ‘Deepam konda kankal enai nokum kathalil – annalum nokinan style. ‘Varai en thozi varayo’ ‘Kalangali aval vasntham’. - influence of Andal and Bhagavth geethai. You can perceive the ideas from literature.
  
  Ada kadu vilaingenna machan namakku kaium kalunthane micham? - speaks to people for people. Song of PKS. "ilami ellam verum kanvu mayam ithil marainthahu sila kalam, thelivum ariyathu mudivum theriyathu mayanguthu ethir kalam" – realism! great talent of kannadasan.
  
  It’s difficult to describe everything. Some time songs affect us deeply though there is no musical wonders or rich lyric potential. ‘ Vanna vanna poonj soliyil poo polave…’ What’s the beauty in this… tamil pzhuthiyil purandu ezhundu varukindra isai?

  I firmly believe that TFM would continue to deteriorate as long as guys like Deva are encouraged by being given more films. As far as Iam concerned, I would prefer original 'kuppai' to copied 'hits' any day.
  
  In this context, I would like to mention that It is regrettable that even hariharan in one of his latest interviews has defended mediocrity by saying that it sells.
  
  I guess the root of all these problems is after all money. TF is in a crisis. Even shankar has to fight to get back atleast half the money that he invested in his film due to video piracy etc. etc.
  So the producers are turning to mediocre MD's who charge less and either churn out trash or lift tunes comfortably and the producers dont care as long as they dont have to reach deep down into their pockets.
  
  Iam ashamed to know that Tamil Nadu is the leading state as far as video piracy and other things are concerned. I read this somewhere on the net.

  In Tamil Nadu either we have the Carnatic music or the TFM, other than that nothing comes in the mind. Its time people learn to appreciate new forms of music and encourage new genuine talent. There is no experimentation (visible) except for few in TFM and in the Carnatic field. The present day TFM directors dont and will not have the time to experiment, with the present state of affairs.
  Its time we have new talents who will not fall in the same rut. I think it will take time, unless people become more learned (govt. should spend 20% of GDP on education & awareness).That is the only answer for all the ills of the TFM and India!!...??
