SHOCKING!!! Musicurry.com copies my review on newtfmpage

Hi Admin guys,

This is to bring to your attention the blatant violation of copyright!
My review in TFMforum of the album, "RESONANCE" posted on August 4, 2000 (under REVIEWS:- Other MDs section) has been copied verbatim by the Musicurry.com guys and it has neither been credited to this page nor myself!

This is SHOCKING, to say the least!

Could you guys take this up further? What shall we do next?

I had written this review out of my admiration of the work in the album and V. S. Narasimhan himself sent me a nice note, thanking me for the review.

The best joke is when you read THEIR Copyright Notice page!!!

May I also appeal to newtfmpage regulars to take this issue with them?

  Write to those guys and ask an explanation for this. You can indeed post their views here. If the article looks entirely identical, it is a copy and they should have at least acknowledged some where in the article. I donno all the postings typed here undergo any copyright rules. For copying they would not have needed any permission as we do so from many other sites. But, for sure they should have mentioned your name. I donno why? In this matter, I stand with you.

  This is not the first time this has happened. In fact, when I urged people like fan to continue with a discussion on musical arrangements, somebody mistook me for a 'spy' from musiccurry.com :-))))) This happened at least 2 months back.
  
  So musiccurry has been shamelessly stealing stuff from newtfmpage. I do not know if there is any copyright violation in this. I don't know if we can do anything at all about this. I read an interview IR gave sometime in early 90s.
  
  Q: How do you feel when Hindi MDs copy you?
  
  IR: I sympathise their pitiable condition. When a beggar/poor man who does not have food, steals food from a hotel, you have to sympathise with him. There is no point in getting irritated at him.

  Neels, this is not the first time.
  I have already reported about this long time ago.
  When copyrighted "music" itself is stolen, who cares about this. Take it easy, this simply shows you write better than the curries.

  neels, with newtfmpage being a discussion forum, the copyright belongs to the author of any post. i suggest you write to musiccurry.com about this. they should definitely acknowledge newtfmpage and yourself.

  I think you don't know much about copyright laws :-)). This is your chance to get some big bucks. unless explicitly stated by the author (of any creation), the copyright stays with the author (i.e., the author has to voluntarily explicity forgo his copyrights; otherwise, she/he holds the copyright by default. this is case from, if i remember right, 1982.) if you are sure that the review in musiccurry.com was stolen from yours, you can really make those thiefs suffer. (the internet is not very well regulated, but anything you write is yours. the internet laws are fuzzy, afaik, only about linking,... ).

  I had pointed to Srikanth about how the musicurry people had taken the pains to use cull out certain information from the newtfmpage archives and plagiarize. They had cut and pasted several observations of Srikanth on that occassion.(santhOsham thAnE:).

  Mr Neels,You are overestimating yourself.You are nothing but a frog in the well.The guy who copied you obviously is one lazy tadpole,with no self-respect or scruples.But don't make a mountain out of a molehill.You are talking as though this is some N.A.S.A. info leak.What Musiccurry does is bad but don't see toomuch into it.If the reviewer is intelligent and well informed,obviously he is not going to pay heed to your reviews.

  like mr.neels, who know nothing about music.
  to review music ,one should have sufficiant knowledge in music. this person neighther seems to have knowlede nor intelligent.and see the pity.
  there are people to copy HIS reviews.
  this is nothing but trumpeting one,s own horn
