Reviewing Music or Composer

I have seen many a review where the composer is reviewed, instead of the songs.

One said that Harris Jeyaraj is too similiar to ARR. Who cares? If Minnalae is good, that's all that matters.

  Describing a the style is part of reviewing.
  If there is obvious resemblemce in style there is nothing wrong is pointing out. If I reproduce the same roja song in my first movie. As a song by itself it will be good, but because its a copy reviewers are sure going to point out. Isnt it?.
  If review is all about saying good or bad, it will be boring.
  
  But sometimes reviewers try to write of people because of thier style. No one can come up with 100% new style, its just like a child learning a language from others. There is will sure be some external influence.

  One said that Manithan is paithiyam. Who cares? If Manithan likes "Echi Ilai", that's all that matters.
