NO worry Yaar.
Lagaan is one amoung the five and at last only one can win. Like cricket, what is more important than winning is playing with spirit and passion.
Aamir did exactly that. I wish better luck next time for India.
We will win..pretty soon.
But,..why am I (and many more) are so bothered about some foriegn Award which does not understand our culture at all.?

I am much relieved now!!
It would have been a huge disappointment for Kamal, had Lagan won an Award as it would be the first film to do so, after so many Kamal entries had failed in the past.
I guess Kamal also must be very relieved now!!!

Eight kamal entries to be exact. "Moondraam Pirai", "Saagara Sangamam", "Saagar", "Nayagan", "Devar Magan" and "Kurudhi Punal", "Indian" and "Hey Ram"...I heard some propaganda talk of sending Aalavandhan for oscars next year or some crap like tat. I dont know if it wud qualify (going by date of release), but god save india if it did. In a live Sun TV interview, I heard kamal sneering at the oscars (tis was way before Lagaan's nomination) foreign film category and talking about how the only justice wud be for an Indian winning best actor for acting in a Hollywood production (and took the trouble to say he wud be very interested if such an opportunity came about). His ego knows no bound.
