Who is this Ramesh Vinayagam?

Hi!!
I recently like the Songs of Nala dhamayanthi. They are nice esp.the one duet song Enna ithu and the song Standaroundthe streets by Kamal is really nice.Do you know who is this music Director Ramesh Vinayaham?Is he a new comer?Or related to Manika Vinayakam(Singer+Music director-Devotional)Can anybody share with this

  Ramesh Vinayagan has been around for ages. he is not related to Manicka Vinyagam. He started off as a trak singer for SPB Sir. And has been composing a lot. only success and recognition have come very late for him

  Ramesh Vinayagam is one of the very talented and knowledgable MDs currently. He has worked with many other TFM Mds for a long time, and is now doing music for films full-fledgedly. Hope TFM listeners recognize his talent.
  I met him at his Chennai residence before 'Nala Damayanti', since he happens to be my uncle's childhood friend. A jovial and very knowledgable person.

  Ramesh Vinayagam is talented all right. "Stranded on the streets " sounds more authentic than some of the Western Country songs I have heard. Not to mention that the composition is much richer than an average Country song that you get to hear on radio. Kamal(this song is yet another revelation of his abundant talent) and Ramesh have done a fabulous job. It would be nice if SAR, DEva, Sirpi and their likes are slowly phased out and atleast some of the second-tier movies if not the top ones are handled by MDs like Ramesh.

  Indeed...Ramesh has outdone himself in the song "Enna Idhu"...of course Chinmayee's voice is a nice match for his own. We have ARR for techno...the tamil film industry badly needs an incarnation of Ilayaraja (cannot be replaced but someone of that standard). ;-)

  Renuka it is not necesary to know someone personally and asking if he\she has changed after a hit movie.appreciate his music only.though the person in question is a very sweet person.let not the person outshine his music.

  A good post.
  
  I was his student a few years before when I was in chennai.He was very busy at that time and questioned me whether I will be dedicated in learning Piano.I gave up after a month as I could not justify his expectations.I know him as a teacher and he is very demanding .I could not cope up with him.He is a very knowledgable and humble person and I have listened to his own compositions{a symphony}.
  Personally I was happy he attended my marriage later.
  I am very happy to see him come through and with 'Enna Idhu' in Nala he has justified his potential.
  It is going to be not long enough for him to establish himself in TFM.

  Ramesh Vinayagam is a talented MD like Mahesh (of nammavar). Hope he gets more such oppurtunities.
  
  It seems there is a healthy pool of MDs in TFM (KR, YSR, VS, Manisharma, Ramesh).
  
  Let these get challenging oppurtunities and live upto the expectations.
