Is IR' Timing Things? Even though....

Just imagine if IR had released his symphony when in the 90s when the Rahman fever was at its height? who would've cared? So, i personally think IR himself did not want it released until the time is right. I don't think, it was not about quality or strangeness of the First Symphony (may I call it the Rustical or Mystical Symphony, Like Pastoral or Grand Symphonies of Europe?)

Guitar Prasanna's site says he was the Guitar in Moods of IR so long ago. But, that album has not seen daylight? Likewise, the Miss World 96 (there was a huge protest against Women being used for commerce, is it still the same tone today?)

Now, IR is planning Thiruvasakam, do you think the timing is right? any related economic discussion on this aspect. Do youthink there is an audience waitin to turnaround from today' rave and fast music and have they matured to take on deeper music of IR?

Even though, IR does not use stop watch to time his compositions (otherwise how would we have those thousands of songs) do you think IR is actually deliberating with a stop watch his next moves? ( one thing for sure, IR says he is still learning music, so means he is still doing somethings there.)

  Frankly, Indians are not ready for Western Classical music. Maybe Tamilians (baby boom generation, to be precise ;---) are, even then the new generation are not mature enough. Even the Chinese have a taste for Western classical stuff, no not the Indians. sorry to say that. I really think IR should release his Symphonies abroad and then it will trickle back in India. why is IR wasting time on Pitamagan and Potamagal, Karuvadu Thingara Naayee etc...?

  I too feel the same way. Not only related to Symphone but TFM in general as well.
  
  My belief is that he has been hybernating since the arrival of ARR, and whatever he has done during this period were not from his whole hearted efforts except may be a few ones like Guru(malayalam), Kadhalukku Mariyadhai.
  
  Remember, on more than one occations he has mentioned that, what he has done for TFM so far were just pickles and papadams. May be he is waiting for the right time to come back seriuosly. Based on Kamal's comments on Sandiyar music, I guess it could well be the beginning for him to serve the main course. At least I wish so. Imagine if Jhonny's, Nizhalgal's were only pickle and papadams according to him, then what would he has in store for us !!!??

  IR is not hibernating, basically saturated in film world, what is there to do for the new boys and girls. films are also realistic these days, there is no skill required, someone with a face and an as_s can act and get away with nonsense. look at the 'boys' type trend,. do you think songs will be needed for such movies. and do you think these boys and girls ( i mean all the film folks) are mature for symphony music and pure Indian classical melodies? I am feeling a bit concerned about the Thiruvaskam, if it will ever make a dent in India at all?
