In "andhimazhai megham" from nayakan..."Paal kudangal Then kudangal Nooru Vandhathu"...this line is there.
It should should be "Vandhana" because 100 kudangal is plural..
I noticed it after one of my friends had told it to me
In one webpage about vairamuthu.. i could find the same complaint for "ilaiya nilaa pozhigirathey"..
"Mughilinangal alaigirathey".. should be "Mughilinangal alaigindrana"
Please give more examples..

Another common error I notice is usage of 'Oru' and 'Oor' in wrong places. For ex, in 'Kanave kalayathe' song a line goes 'kann moodiye nee pesidum Oor vasagam'. It should be Oru vasagam, as 'Oor' should be used only before vowel sounds. Alternatively, i find the usage of Oru in front of vowels, in plenty !

"Oru ooril azhagey oruvaai" - Kaakka Kaakka
Should be "Oar ooril"

I think Oru ooril is accepted. the rule is "Or" should be used only before vowels. you can use "Oru" before any letter.

No, what BT says is correct. it should be Oar ooril, 'Oru' should be used only before consonant sounds.

Friends,
I have the following observation on MGR's 'enga veettup piLLai' song, 'naan aaNaiyittaal, adhu nadanthu vittaal, intha EzhaigaL vEdhanaip pada maattaar!':
Ideally, it should be 'naan aaNaiyittu adhu nadanthu vittaal....' or 'naan aaNaiyidum pOthu adhu nadanthu vittaal', or 'naan iduvEn oru aaNai, adhu mattum nadanthu vittaal' or simply 'naan idum aaNai mattum nadanthu vittaal'. Because two if's are not used in succession in Tamil!
Hero-vukku than aaNai kadaip pidikkap padumaa enbathil sandhEgam irukkalaam! aanal indha varigaLil avarukku thaan aaNai iduvenaa enbathilEyE sandhegam iruppathu pOl thOnRugiRathu!
(Don't blame me for too much of hair splitting!)

Cinema virumbi!
its correct. it seems that hero himself has a doubt of "Aanaiyiduvathu"
Good one. Made me to laugh

JK, that's true. it should be 'Oor Iniya manathu'. compare it to a famous movie 'Oor Iravu', which starts with an 'I' as well. Simply, my understanding is,
'Oru' in Tamizh is equivalent to 'a' in english, 'Oor'is equivalent to 'an'.

When i read this topic, i thought of the starting lines of Vaali's 'avathara purushan' in vikatan. It is ramayanam in pudhu kavithai format. In the introduction part it goes like..
'Vaazhvin
Ilakanam viLakiya purushanai
Ilakanam viLakiya tamizhal
paadukiren'
clever usage of tamizh words ! sorry for digression :-)

JK: I am not sure about 'or'/'oru' use. Bharathiyar has a few with 'or' preceding consonants:
Mangiyathor nilavinile
Nallthor veenai seithe
Ellai illathor vaanakkadalidaiye
May be,that was why he was scorned/scolded by the established poets in Ettayapuram. He was accused of not following the rules for poetry. But, we remember him. What about those who accused him?

Friends,
One more! (sollil pizhai illai! irunthaalum athu mannikkap padalaam! poruLilthaan kuRRam uLLathu!)
I located this in the song 'nalanthaanaa?' from 'Thillaanaa MohanaambaaL':
Padmini: "puN patta sEthiyaik kEtta udan inthap peN patta paattai yaaraRivaar?"
SEthiyaik kEtka vENdiya avasiyamE illai! Because , in her presence only, the villain stabs Sivaji!

Mr. Nakeerrare (CV),
actually, in that movie there is a challenge going on between them to win each other in thillana. so, when the villain stabs sivaji in front of her, padmini 'aaha, alu outnu' jollya veetuku poitange. then she comes to know that our overacting hero escapes with some minor injuries.. so she goes..
'verum puNoda thapicha seithiyai kettu,
entha peN patta paatai yaaraRivaar ?'
epdi erukumo ?! (hi hi hi)

In Kannalane song (Bombay). 'aaLaana oru sEthi ariyAmalE; alai paayum oru pEdhai naanO' - does this sentence make any sentence at all?

Correction: 'does this sentence make any sentence at all?' = 'does this sentence make any sense at all?'
