Actually, Harris Jayaraj is not interested in composing music for films like ‘Saami’, ‘Kovil’ and ‘Arul’. He is very selective about his films because he wants to maintain his standard and quality.

  Which album ARR made like HJ's quality after HJ came out from ARR.After seeing the continous flop ARR himself lost his hope with indian films.He moved to do BGM for chinese movies.
  
  Everyone in the film industry knows what kind of BGM he gave in his films.Deva was better than ARR in BGM.
  
  Any way what is there in BGM of chinese films.Monkey type jumping fight and noise.For this dom they need ARR to compose.

  AR did compose very good background music in Lagaan. When he composes music to masala movies like kathalan, boys, mr romeo youcant expect he will pay much attention to background music.
  
  In tamilnadu there's only one md who knows how to make background music it's none other than Ilayaraja.

  xml idiot, dont type something just for the sake of it... monkey type jumping fight? hj is composing for an actual monkey movie, i.e. for simbu, u think that is a great accomplishment for HJ?
  
  HJ worked as an additional programmer for ARR. That means he adds sound effects and elements to the songs. He does not compose the tunes/music, etc for ARR. Get that into your head first.
  
  And if someone actually composes a song, ARR makes sure that they get credit for that song. Like the Ayappa song in Boys.
  
  Now cut the b*lls*ht that HJ composed all the hit songs for ARR.

  of course ARR doesnt compose at HJ quality he composes 5000 times better. flops enna flops by ARR like i said two bad albums cuz they were bad movies he didnt send time on em. HJ has 2 good albums thats abt it.
  
  you must not have heard WOHE thats one of the best instrumentals ive heard. HJ wont even come up with sumthin like that in his life time if IR and ARR coach him thru the whole process cuz he'd resort to using their tunes and reuse his old stuff again like usual.

  HJ is very upset he didn't work with IR for a long time...

  BGM in Chinese movies? Monkey type jumping fight and noise? Man, where do you live? Get hold of 'Hero', a recent Chinese film, and tell me if you have seen many better movies than that (from Hollywood) in terms of technical brilliance, aesthetics, music...

  I am never serious in these threads. You had missed out a series of threads by 'xml' which bashed ARR and at the same time talked high of HJ. I was just reciprocating in a similar fashion for I know he xml doesn't care about HJ. He just uses HJ to put down ARR. Your reply to him is futile in my opinion.

  until HJ comes out with stuff that is original consistently i have no respect for him.hes just a high priced deva to me.thats just my opinion i hate listening to songs and then having the feeling ive heard this before.

  what a pity...what a pity...HJ claimed it's a folk songs....except for the song where Paravai Muniamma appears, nothing seems to be folkish, or has any grammathu flavor in it....

  ARR could make albums like Alaipayuthey,Kandukondein,kadalardinam,kadalan,indian,jeans etc..before HJ came out from him.
  
  After HJ enter into TFm ARR made Thenali,Alliarjuna,star,udaya,paravasam,parasuram,E20 etc...
  
  But without ARR HJ made the albums minnale,samurai,lesa lesa,samy,kakka kakka etc..
