kalakkal round

kalakkal round (read in A.V.Ramanan's style - SAPTHASWARANGAL, sun TV)...

you have to mix...

PALLAVI of SONG 1 with CHARANAM of SONG 2 and end with PALLAVI of SONG 3. But the final product should feel as a single song.

(As A.V.Ramanan says, it would be ideal if all are based on same carnatic ragam. This is not necessary condition however).You can choose any three songs that finally feel as a single unit.

  charanam - Nilam neer kaatrile Minasarangal pirandhidum(Dumm Dumm Dumm) +

  dear friends, please do not try to do kalakkal with same raaga, it is more important to have the same tempo and rythm. eg. 4-4, 6-8 etc.in fact it will be very perfect only if it carries the same rythm loop throughout all the three songs.I know the difficulty 'coz I introduced that round to sapthaswarangal.

  if it were really you, dear subhashree thanikachalam, i would like to congratulate you for this excellent programme, SAPTHASWARANGAL...but the past few weeks, the first round is for a.r.rehman and the last round (the really beautifull kalakal round) was changed to vidyasagar songs...i mean, to me atleast, the whole programme lost colour because of this...why rehman & vidyasagar alone? Why exclude the kalakkal round, and also why neglect other MDs like KVM, MSV, IR etc?? Is it because a.v.ramanan has a personal tussle with IR? Or is it simply because only rehman & vidyasagar offer music chance to singers from SAPTHASWARANGAL?

  dear freind, Iwould like to inform you that I am no more with Sun tv and not directing sapthaswarangal. It is more than a year since I quit. Now I am a free lancer doing consultancy and a lot of of other things. ABOORVA RAAGANGAL on star Vijay, CHINNA KUYILGAL and MARGAZHI MAHA UTSAVAM on JAYA. I worship Ilayaraja like GOD. I am personally very close to their family and as long as I was involved with Sapthaswarangal, there was a strict rule that people should sing songs only from the 80's and before.
