What was that??

Hi!
U ppl ever noticed something interesting in a song that just might have been overlooked by the MD??
I mean for example:
in Ayyo Pathikichu from Rhythm..
@ the end of the 2nd last stanza, Vasundhara Das goes "pathikichu pathikichu.... Aiyo Aiyo..."
and then as if she's made a mistake says:
"OOPS"!!
listen to it carefully, u'll know!

I know another similar incident, but i guess it just slipped outta my mind as i'm typin!!:)
When i remember, will keep ya updated.

Till that time.. do u folx know ne such incident??

  good observation...heard the song again, and you are right...she says 'oops'...but i don't think that it has been overlooked by the MD, cause this 'oops' is repeated in echo form twice after that...and this was surely done by the MD i guess...after all it's ARR...isn't he famous for attaching such small small things again and again into a song?

  well...as u mention now...i too remember of such an incident in a song. in 'kannai kattai kollaathe' from 'iruvar' at 3:27 hariharan sings 'thadigal ellam thagura...' and then the next word 'meesugal' (or something like that...sorry am not tamilian) with a different 'emotion' (if u can call it like that)...cause it sounds as if he got something in the throught and instead of coughing (or making hrrr hrrr) he sings 'meesugal'..that sounds strange....
  
  but speeking generally i think many MD's allow their singers to improvise in certain situations...i think SPB does this a lot, right?

  if u observe, the pathikichu and aiyyo have been sung only once..
  ARR has used echo from that point onwards..
  if u notice, in the previous stanza Udit sings the same way but doeesnt say "aiyo".
  So Vasundhara must have got over enthusiastic and said Aiyo.. then she realises and says Oops!!
  This is just my guess..
  
  Besides, i've noticed that in the video, Ramya doesnt lip sync for the oops part!

  wait, i don't get u quite...at the end of the second stanza it goes like this: 'deepam pole irundhaval naan...theepanam aay enne matrivitaal...pathikichu' and u mean the rest of the pathikichus (after that 3 times) were echo?? i don't think so...and after those pathikichus she sings 'aiyo', and the aiyos u hear after that are echos...okay...and in the middle of these echos she says 'oops' and this is echoed too...
  if that aiyo was an improvisation from her, then it was a good one...it fitted to the situation...about the 'oops' i don't know...
  
  ehh...didn't get that joke (?) on KM...

  listen hard to the second line in Sundari...
  it's "Amudha vai koondil kulle adaika mudiyuma" and it sounds like SOMETHING else altogether!!
  
  u'll find out if u know Tamil. the bad words at least..

  there is this song "Oh maane maane maane, unnai thanaeee" from Vellai Roja..... in the end of the song, SJ will start singing "oh.." - but actually SPB has to sing that line, so for a fraction of second (oh..), SJ sings and stops......

  There is a song from the movie "PAAYUM PULI" (Rajini starrer). SPB had sung this is in peculiar voice.
  "Aadi Massam Kaththadikka
  Vaadi Unnai Seththanaikka
  Maanee Maanguyiley"
  In the song during end of the first stanza SPB will say the word "Okkalli"
  It goes like this
  "Maamankaran Paththa enna
  Moochu vanga verththa enna"
  "OKKALI"
  "Maamankaran Paththa enna
  Moochu vanga verththa enna"
  Rajini doesnt lip sync for this. This movie had come about 15-20 Years ago and I wonder How the censor allowed this.

  actually, in the end, SPB sings "o maane maane maane" and then proceeds to "unnaiththaane". SJ also starts "unn.." and then stops immediately.

  There's something similar in "Kaadhal kavidhaigal padithidum neeram", when the song starts... SPB starts singing and when Chitra starts after a small interleave SPB stops singing and lets her start. But this was deliberately done and was wonderfully picturised.

  That was deliberately done by the director and I would say it is one of the very innovative 'Duet' Situations in TFM .... One of the Best songs of IR too !!!

  in the song "kaadhal vandhaal solliyanuppu" in iyarkai,tippu mistakenly takes 'en kanneer'before second interlude and stops as soon as the interlude stops.
  
  in the song"columbus"-jeans,as soon as the song starts we can cleary hear the singers laughing which is picturised in the movie.

  Wow! U guys' 'attentiveness' is amazing. Nice to know about such findings too. Let me tell u some from my end :
  
  1. In the song "Nila kaayum neram Charanam" (Sembaruthi), towards the end of second stanza, SJ sings "Anbe neeye... Alagin amudhe" (instead if Azhagin amudhe.
  
  2. In the song, "Naan enbadhu... nee allavo deva devaa" (Soorasamhaaram), in the postlude, Chithra drags "Devaaa..." during which Arunmozhi's voice overlaps which Chithra "Devaaa..." continues. Chithra stops in between (probably thinking the song has stopped) and after a short stint, continues that "aaaaa..." again.
  
  3. I dont know if this is true but read this somewhere (guess its in this forum only). In the song "Oru ponnu onna naan paarthen" (Kushi), many (incl. me) have wondered why a word like "100 peru SETHTHU (die) poyittaan" should figure in a happy song. Somebody mentioned that it seems the original lyric was "100 peru SOKKI poyittan" but Hariharan sang it as "Setthu poyitfan" instead of "Sokki poyittan".
  
  4. In the song "Kondaiyil Thaazhampoo", after the end of 2nd stanza, SPB excalims "Kushboo, Kushboo, Kushboo". At the end of 1st stanza, Chithra was to sing in similar way as "Rajini, Rajini, Rajini" but Chithra, known for her timidness, probably couldnt sing it. But I remember SPB forcing Chithra to sing that bit in one of Gangai Amaran's stage shows.
