I've heard a lot about how unfortunate he was in his marital life. Would like to know more about him and his works.
Manisegaran sir, if u have the time please do open your infinite knowledge bank.

Chadrababu married a (Sourashtra) girl and later divorced her. I have always been puzzled by Bhagyaraj's statement (mundAnai mudichu?) that one of his films was based on Chandrababu's story. As far as I know that marriage was not a love marriage; at any rate, not like the one we saw in that movie. She was born to a Sourashtrian dad and an Irish mom. She lives now in UK.
I am also told that he looked entirely different in real life. He liked to wear western attire all the time.

Hello Da Vinci,
Chandrababu wife Anglo-Indiannu kElvi pattirukkiREn, Sourashtra-Irishnnu theriyAdhu. AFAIK, Chandrababu oru converted Christian, he always had this Western affinity.
My father studied with Chandrababu's brother-in-law (The brother of his short-time wife) at Madras Christian College High School. I believe he will used to visit the boy and always spoke with an accent. andha pEraiyE oru mAdhiri uchcharippArAm.
I guess his wife was forced into marrying him, and when he learned that he allowed her to go away. evvaLavu nalla uLLam! avar personal life paththina discussion pOdhumE.
I just love his songs. Maybe bcoz of his life he included lots of thaththuvams in his songs. comedyOdu adhuvum irukkum.

Hi Swetha,
'Sourashtra-Irish' could be a variant of Anglo-Indian, aint it ? Since Irish also speak English, that would have been mistaken for being British, and I am not surprised that his wife was taken to be anglo-Indian though she never looked one (as the regular Anglo_Indians).
I am glad to know that your brother-in-law studied with Chandrababu's brother-in-law. If his brother-in-law had an accent, it was because they lived in England before they moved to India, unlike the Anglo-Indians of India. Ask him if he remembers his name. If he can't, you could give him a hint that his name was a part of the actor's name itself !

Chandrababu studied at St. Joseph College in Colombo for some time. He had mentioned this at SLBC interview, when he visited Sri Lanka with actor Sriram.
