Why IR does not change his recording style?

Hello IR fans,
It is really sad that a great MD like IR is not
fully appriciated by tamil film industry and people. I feel his music recording quality is to be blamed mainly for it..

If IR concentrates more on sound engineering and recording aspects, he can definitely grab people's attention more. Has any of those folks who have met him in person asked him this question?. Is there any reason for him to stick to his old ways of recording?

  Let me quickly explain..
  What IR uses mainly is a orchestral arrangment i.e. it has Strings (violin,viola,cello, bass), woodwind (flute, clarinet, oboe), brass (trumpet, horns) and percussion (drums). Because there are so many instruments the song is mixed live in the studio. We are mostly hearing natural instruments recorded in an acoustic setting. So it is called an 'acoustical recording'.
  (Listen to Guru (malayalam), thEvar magan, etc in a good system).
  
  The POP style of recording (followed by ARR and Yuvan Shankar rAja) usually uses few instruments. In these case, keyboards (sequencers) are used for various instruments which are directly recorded into digital tapes (no analog-to-digital) and then are mixed later with various effects. Even if natural instruments are used they are recorded (often) in isolation with the mic being very close to the instrument. Then artificial reverb is added to the sound. So in POP recordings you dont hear the instrument in an acoustical environment. The 'space' in the recording is added artificially (with 'reverb').
  
  If you listen to Western classical music CDs you are listening to 'acoustical recordings'. (Even though these days some amount of reverb is added). Many people who are into music seriously prefer this kind of recording as it preserves the timbre of the instrument. Also, with a good stereo system (around $5K-10K) you an recreate the live sound. Note that WCM performance are mostly un-miced/un-amplified (Yes, the whole auditorium hears the live sound.. no speakers).
  
  POP recording style evolved mainly because in US/Canada it seems most people listen to music in their car stereos. So techniques like compression/limiting were invented to keep the dynamic range of the sound constant (no swinging from low-to-high or high-to-low). Contrast this with WCM where this swinging is specifically used as a music technique (to convey tension/emotion etc).
