I hate ARR because he didn't respect IR even as a senior in the industry. So far IR didn't pass any comments about him. Is there any personal ill feelings between them?
Again, pls don't start comparision fight here.

Quality time wasted. This is definetely thaatha patti logic and gossip. If this time can be spent doing our work, we might derive some usefulness in this world. Otherwise all that is written will go to the drains. Who cares if IR scored more points than ARR or other way round? Is this absolutely necessary?

Guys
I am just waiting to see how you guys reason out ARR's downfall (when he eventually does say after 10 -20 years from now)- I will surely be around to read.
Perhaps ARR will nomore be Savvy then.

Bharath's Comment #1
"yes it is RIGHT to say so. what is wrong is saying IR never gave hits with small directors."
Bharath's Comment #2
"who said IR favored big banners. In my opinion he also wasted good songs on talentless trash people(especially ramarajan and mohan)"
ayya,
Doesn't Comment # 1 contradict Comment #2?
(Now, please don't start explaining it to me in detail. I understand the queen's language as well as anyone else in this forum does.)
Bharath's Comment #3
"KB has never been consistent with MD."
How come this is not the reason for KB leaving IR?
After all KB did leave IR to do 'achamillai achamillai' with V. S. Narasimman, and then come back to IR later. Just like he left ARR to do Kalki and has come back to him for his current venture.
If MR is at odds with IR, why would he give a struggling KR a much needed lift with DDD?
You accuse Suresh of seeing red, but it seems to me like you are the one looking at events through tinted (or tainted) lenses.
The more you say, the more you are contradicting yourself. I suggest you quit while you're ahead.
....later

You guys have already written so much.
But the real reason for ARR not liking IR
is because of his personsal bad experience with him. When ARR really needed his help IR let him down. This is during the Jingle days of ARR.
ARR had brough some high tech cost equipments from USA and he had problems with customs.
For they wouldnt clear it. So ARR said he is a member in IR troup and thats why he needed them.
When customs people enquired IR straight blank said know I dont know anybody of that name.
This inspite of he knowing ARR well, the reason behind is IR felt Synth music will kill real music. From the start he didnt like them and this lead the feud between them.
ARR has told this without mentioning IR name in his interview with MAdan for Vikatan.
Since some of ARR friends are also my friends I came to know of this incident

I think you have told this long before also. Actually, I too remembered reading it. After, when I read a similar posting like this, I enquired with my friends too and they to remember reading madans interview. Also, in one of the interview ARR said that somebody had created problems for him and his troupe, when they were scheduled to go to US for a concert. Can you tell me who that person was? I am just asking, as you said that you have some friends who are ARR's friends too. You are welcome to post a mail to me on this regard if you feel not to disclose that here.
This is just a humble request. I am curious.

kooththan,
comment #1 does not contradict comment # 2.
i am not giving big explanation. but it just doesnt.
the rest of ur posting u have just cut and pasted whatever i wrote and you've said i have contradicted myself again and again. (what have i contradicted)
i dont care for the queen's language and dont respect it(and her) either.and I am not proud of knowing it better/worser than the others.
maybe the reason why u never even once wrote. what the apparent contradiction was bcoz , there wasnt one.
as far as tinted goes... u will have to really explain what was tinted

now this is really funny!
i read ur posting again and now i firmly believe that u dont understand "the queens language" as well as the others.
i understand how u interpreted it and i am ROFL.
pls really pls! go over wat u have written and introspect and then talk abt quitting while ahead. atleast u accepted that i was ahead.
worse u were so confident that u did not want an explanation :-)

There is neither war not coldwar.
Times are changing and so is film music. IR proved his talent after MSV.
It is ARRs turn now and he is "Internationally proving" his talents with the global "music audience" not merely commercialising tfm giving craps with kolvais and aathaas. Even Deva for that matter has reached a more wider audience in the current trend.
Ilayaraja is fed up with his work and just does music for the sake of it, wondering really as to 'how to name it' when the fresh music directors are struggling hard for new compositions which are globally hit.
Ilayaraja is failing and other young stalwarts are coming up in flying colours that is it!
Why should this thread describe a biassed concept defending the old mans failure as coldwar. ARR is far far far away and higher in the altitude. He is beyond comparison and Iam sure he has no time for the ? cold war.
IR can start his new 'brand named'appalam and Urugai for export, a different business as he mentioned in Kumudam.

Pazhudu Pogatahavan mmmmmmmm nalla paeru!!!!!
Tell me why should ARR respect IR?
This is materialistic world; one should not forget.
Your reason to hate ARR sounds very very very silly, idiotic and pathetic.
Besides, is that a reason to start a thread like this?
SO what would you do if your neighbour did not respect you?....write a nasty slogan on his wall!!
Come out of the hiding to admit that you are HCIR fan and that you are another one of the number of lunatics in TFM to tarnish ARR's reputation.
Most of all, there are already too many threads started by IR fans to bring out the frustration in them.
I am a neutral listener to Tamil music. But, this discussion forum looks one sided.
Fanatic like Pozhudu Pogathavan are doing exactly what his name says.
I hope the TFM team will allow only 3 threads on any Topic. In this form of censorship there will not be too many threads of the same Topic in different forms.
So Pozhuthu Pogathavane..... Pozhuthu Pogum velai ethavathu irunthaal paaru........

Don't call it `cold war' etc. Movie music is business and both these are competitors...it's just competition, IMO. (for e.g. do you expect a santro distributor to keep publishing his high regards for matiz?)
But aruvi, certain things are not necessarily private (esp. when it involves public figures). After all much has been written in the same DF about IR's arrogance. for e.g. how ARR once mentioned to a DFer from Britain about IR's sarcastic remarks to him etc. (I'm neither supporting or opposing his nature, but he can't certainly expect it to be not commented upon. The same is true of ARR, who is his competitor)

Eden..
Just because someone is a public figure does not mean that the public has the right to discuss their private lifes. As far as IR's arrogance is concerned, though I don't know much about it, if someone has been treated thus, then they could say it was so. And as far as Rahman was concerned, he told Geetha as a friend and Geetha published it on the net. Not that I am saying she did it with any bad blood but it happenned and people presume that is enough to create something out off. Had he wanted people to know if their was a problem, wouldn't he say so. If he himself shys away from these troubles, then it's not respectful to go about creating more than is there...

ARR is no more under the shadow or mercy of IR as he used to be during the old days when he was keyboardist.
And the troubles he had with IR is over and gone.
He himself said he doesnt even think about those things so guys let it go!!
I have told here the story before.
If you want you can read the interview of ARR with Madan(Vikatan) long time ago where he says abt this incident without mentioning IRs name

From your inscription I do not think there is anything wrong. How silly can you be to ARR about IR. Not only that who knows in what context your question was addressed to him.
Still I strong believe your reasons are insufficient grounds to the tittle of this thread.
Eden and Aruvi are right on this matter.
