Flute Flames

Hello,
I am going to work on a flute solo cd album. The
problem is I don't know what kind of Music I should record to attract all ages.

I have some things in mind.

1. Devotional Tunes (eg. Kandha Shasti, Suprapatham etc.,)

2. Instrumental Tamil and Hindi Cinema Tunes

3. Carnatic Music in western style (using
western instruments)

PLEASE GIVE ME SOME HINTS OR IDEAS.

  Check out Kadri Gopalnath's Melody waves 1 & 2,
  and devotional waves(?) - all on HMV/RPG/EMI.
  
  He's using his saxophone to recreate semi-classical and popular film numbers (tamil). This is probably the easiest to do, since the music is not changed at all.
  
  The carnatic music in western style sounds intriguing- e.g. Kadri's Southern Brothers, The Veena Concerto on OMI and some of Chittibabu's albums (Temple Serenade, Wedding Bells). This is probably more difficult since you've got to compose the music and it's a bigger stretch for your audience to get into. Of course, your audience is a lot smaller - there is just a small niche that listens to fusion stuff and of that an even smaller one for indi-fusion.
