T.Rajendar-the great allrounder and his best in Sonnal than Kaadala

T Rajendar has done his best with his son Silambarasan in his latest debut Sonnal than kaadala. This tamil movie has excellnt songs sung by Shankar Mahadevan and others. The songs are very good.

  I saw this movie when I was in Chennai. The movie was good. Barring one song for which Sillambarasan has done a good dance performance, all other songs are only below average. But T.R has changed his style to the modern pop.

  T.R's old songs from mythili ennai kathali is decent the rest r totaly junk.
  
  Abt T.Rajender
  1) ugly beard
  2) a unshapen big horrible mouth
  3) Fat
  4) he badly needs a hair cut..
  
  In cinema presentation is important and one has to look his best when abt 1 crore people r goin to look at u...
  
  even when TR appears on screen normally he looks a like a wild bear escaped from the zoo.
  
  The sight of him gives me the creeps
  
  Silambarasan:
  
  The ever green "adhiga prasangi" who oppichufied beyond his age senti-philosophical dialogues... making even the trailors unwatchable is now bak to haunt the silver screen again.
  
  I guess TR will produce such things until he runs out of money and we just have to pray he runs out of money soon.
  
  The latest movie sonnal thaan kaadhala.. sux. The songs suck big time...
  
  TR should quite doing direction, producer, editing, cinematographer, MD, wall poser boy, clap stick boy, light boy all by himself. I think this wud result in TR becoming the audience also and bear in mind the only audience .
  
  he simply ends up being bad in lot of things instead of just 1 thing.
  
  The best thing for him is to stay with 1-2 jobs like director etc... and never ever ever show his face on the screen unless its a horror movie..
  
  silabarasan shld stop doin a rajini kanth and work his way up by acting in better movies which his father is not involved in...

  TR was good in oru thalai raagam, rayil payanangaLil, nenjil oru raagam, uyiruLLavarai usha, mythili ennai kaathali, and few songs from his other movies in the 80s. He had his own style of music which was good and he should stick to it.

  If only T.R. had stayed with just music and lyrics, he'd have been comparable to some of the greatest music directors around. And people here wouldn't be talking about his beard, his stature and about the shape of his mouth.

  aiyoooooooooo....kollureengalee...is this a movie???damn....stupid story line...It was killing...T.Rajendaren has some talents with that why cant he make a A class movie instead of "sotthai" movies like Sonnal than kadhala??this movie was soooo boring...I know his son personally...he is a big show off n wanna be but he dance good though...

  I agree. I used to refer to him as the 'karadi' whenever I forgot his name.

  Just a year back, one of India's greatest MDs, who happens to be from Tamil, was not any better than a 'karadi' except that this karadi had longer hair and chubby cheeks.

  I saw on interview of him in which he cried when talking. Romba unarchivasa pattutar. He was talking abt Sonnal dhan kadhala. some bulls#hit like "kadhal enbathu adi nejathilirindhu..." he had tears in his eyes. I was eveil and laughed.

  TR has given some of the memorable lyrics, music and used quality singers in his earlier movies, otr,rp, etc as mentioned by NeelD earlier. One of the lines in OTR which goes like this, "uRavugaL vaLarndadhu yenakkuLLE; adhil pirivugaL yenbadhu irukkAdhE", is my all time favorite. Very profound and true. Pl. take time to dwell on the meanimg of these verses; you will know.
  Of late, he has become stale and his movies are not watchable;i agree. I heard that lot of industry workers are still praising him as he used to be the only guy who still believes in lavish indoor sets which gives food to these workers.
