  1. Akila akila - Aslam mustafa, Noel james endru oru pattalame koothadichirukkum paattu.
  2. Engenge(hariharan, asha bhosle) - just ok. asha's accent is horrible
  3. Thudikkindra kaathal(mano, bhavathaarani) - ok.
  (Is Bhavathaa singing first time outside of her family's music?)
  4. Manam virumbuthe(Unni) - Lifted from "Manavyaalakim"
  kriti, but may interest people.
  5. Aval varuvaalaa(Hariharan, Shahul hameed) - good.
  
  An above average(yes..good) album from Deva.

  I am surprised that someone does not like Bhavatharini's voice. I feel the "kuzhandhaiththanam nirambiya kumarippen" touch in her voice.
  
  On the other hand, have you ever listened to Malgudi Subha..I would agree with you for Malgudi Subha...

  It's not the voice that's in question, but her singing
  talents. Yes.. she shows "kuzhanthaithanam" in that
  too... :-)

  Absolutely with Rajaraman on Bhavatharini's singing talents. She occasionally seems to have difficulty hitting high notes and sticking to the key. It's ditto for dad although he's one of the greatest music composers India has produced.

  I have been listening to the Maestro's music and his voice in particular, for quite a no. of years.
  According to pundits,his voice may be shaky at a high scale, but its his very voice that has attracted many fans like me. In fact, there is not a day without his Geetanjali, a devotional rendition, in my home. He weaves an artless, naive vocal abracadabra around you. He owes that to the spirituality he has sustained in all these years. Definitely his voice is unique.
  Lets accept that now.
  On to Bhavathaarini's voice: Just good for a young , talented singer. Its again different!!. Thats it. I again like the unsophisticated nature of the voice. I think you ought not to be a pundit to enjoy something....

  Deva has flicked two songs ( that I know) in Nerukku Ner
  
  Akila Akila is a note-by-note copy of Buffalo Soldier by Bob Marley.
  
  Another song is a copy of a piece by L.Subramanian (Motherland - Album Super Instinct).
  
  Deva is not a composer. He is as bad as remix kings like Bally Sagoo.

  Sincerely speaking, is there anyone called Deva's fan?? I wish to know that....He is yet another "music" director. He can only be proud of the fact that he belongs to the Maestro Ilayaraaja's music era!!!

  I am a fan of DEVA (neenga sirichaalum parava illai)..I like most of his songs - I really
  don't know/care whether it is a cut-n-paste or a
  line-by-line-ditto from somewhere.
  All his dubbanguthu songs are good.
  
  I would prefer to here anytime ARUNACHALAM songs
  for Raman Abdulla or Devathai.
  
  One beautiful song from NESAM by DEVA is:

  With ARR making two/three movies per year (athil Mr.Romeo mathiri dokkum included) and Raaja almost
  retired (5/6 movies per year with 4/5 hit songs),
  Deva is doing a v.good job in fillingup the
  makkal+directors need.
  
  He is THE MAN for balachandar, barathiraaja, kamal, rajini,....the supposed to be TOP cine makkal.
  
  He maintains his own standard which are liked and
  enjoyed by the mass...he is doing a good job
  in providing old MSV kind tunes with latest
  rhythm based mnusic, you may call it copy, but
  it is good for TFM and it is enjoyable.
  
  In my opinion he is more productive than ARR.

  Deva has already one song in vEdan (a Saratkumar starrer)- vaazhkayE porkkaLam, in which the saranam is 'didi didi'. paattu aarambathukkum athukkum sambantahmE irukkaathu. So he has really only copied himself in Arunachalam. :-).

  Bavatharini and her father have the worst voices.Enna periya kuzhanthaithanam? For a 19 year old, it's not something which is needed.Harini is 10000x better than her. As for ARR doing 2-3 films and Deva doing more, ARR believes in quality and not quantity. Deva has 4 other brothers and his son to help him. He says that they each do one song. He also claims(believe it or not) that he does not copy but because there are only 7 notes in music,(sa-re-ga-ma-pa-the-ni) he somehow accidently gets the same tune.He also says that his brothers do most of the tunes which have been copied. So who's the composer? He or his brothers? Give me Harini and AR Rahman any day!!
