Can any other MD make a song like this?
Song is packed with feel of "fear of unknownity",feel of "absolute loss", feel of "Slow moving waves destroying the sandy house of sea shore", feel of "emptiness".. and so on.

  :-) And the amazing point is that, he has employed strong carnatic foundations to support the emotions as well. "enge sellum indha paadhai" is raga keeravani and "varthai thavari vittai" is raga vakulabharanam. Especially the climax song "vaarthai thavari vittai", the "heavy gravity" of the song leaves your heart loaded with sadness... true, it takes some genius to produce such songs..aren't we lucky to have raja in TFM :-)

  Actually, Raja has given us some songs which show sorrow and grief really well. But this sing does not belong to the list of his greats. It certainly produces a feeling of sadness, but it can't compare with some of his other songs. I think the effect in this song is also due to the video itself... the camera wanders around, there is a lack of "vibrant" colour, Vikram in his famous "Sethu" make-up, etc.
