Is Kavita Krishnamurti the worst singer around?

When you compare her with singers like Chitra, Alka Yagnik, Shreya Ghosal etc., Kavita is such a bad singer. She got so many chances when there were very few singers, other than the great Lataji. I can't stand her songs in high pitch.
She is the worst singer in film music today.

  NO way Kavita is the worst singer. I don't think she has a great voice, but she is definately one of the most talented singers around.

  it is only the sutle variation in voice and diction she
  brings to aparticular song which is glaringly absent in other numbers of hers makes somebody think she is worst.
  actually we need to understand the variety she
  puts in unlike her co-singers who are more or less

  Au contraire! Kavita Krishnamurthy (Subramaniam) is one of the best singers around in India. She is classically very well-trained. Her diction in Hindi, Marathi and Bengali is perfect. For a lady whose mother tongue is neither of these, she is absolutely amazing. And I find her voice quite stable at high-pitches: nothing wrong at all!
  
  But many of her private albums of bhajans and ghazals have gone sadly unnoticed. The classical numbers that she has sung in films are many, but these are not considered in vogue these days. Listen to her singing the Hindi and Tamil piece in that piece "baje sargam har taraf se goonjein bankar desh raag" which used to shown on Doordarshan about ten years ago. Amazing voice!

  Kavita Krishnamurthy is one of the most talented singers in India. she is classically very good and her variation of voice is fabulous. If people know anything about music especially classical music they will really love to hear Kavita's voice
