I am a carnatic music beginner. Can somebody help me (without laughing) - if Bhimplas and Abheri are one and the same?
Ex: Poothirukkum vanamey, pooparikka idhudhaan neramey - from Pudhayal,
Isai thamizh nee seidha arunchaadhanai, nee irukkayiley enakku perumsodhanai - from Thiruvilayadal
Eppadi paadinaro adiyaar appadi paada naan aasai kondaen sivaney - Sudha Ragunadhan and various others - from carnatic albums
Nagumo - the famous abheri song.
The resemblence is quite striking. Please clarify.
Sriram
