ARR's theme music

Hi guys & gals;

I have been listening to ARR's theme music ever since 1992, all of his theme music had mainly western influnces, except sangamam, he mainly uses hyms which are sung in churches, do you guys agree with me, take Alli Arjuna's theme music 4 example & u will c y?

  I c y…The theme music of “Rangeela” was pretty much “Amazing Grace” and the Bombay theme was a note-by-note reproduction of “Lead Kindly Light”. Still wondering about the “Alli Arjuna” theme. Now who could help us out here? Paul Dinakaran comes to mind…or maybe Jesse Jackson!

  I doubt ARR will copy note-by-note. At the worst, he would have been inspired to tune in the same meter or for songs with the same arrangement or rhythm. Pretty smart guy..will never do things like that.

  This page has a write up on how Talvin Singh used the Bombay Theme and also a review.... If it was copied, i think the highly qualified reviewer would have known!

  yeah, 12ka4 theme music sounds really cool, i don't remember if this has been discussed before, but one singer in it really sounded like michael jackson when he sings the lines 'one two ka four', in a rather high pitch...
  clinton is credited for that song...is it really his voice?

  hmm...now, after reading dark angel's post again, i think i'm able to read out that sarcasm...hmm...really strange how that could be missed and misinterpretated...eventhough i haven't heard those songs he mentions (Amazing Grace and Lead Kindly Light)

  to be frank, i haven't heard this piece often, in fact i heard it only once, long time ago when i downloaded it...now am listening to it again...
  it's seems like a variation of the vidukathaya song...with more percussions...somehow it reminds me of the 'hai rama' song in rangeela...well, too early to judge...have to hear it more often...but it do sound good...
