Mr.137.73.8.3
Over and over you are proving yourself to be the utterest piece of waste in this planet. Without the slightest shame, keep using nicks like Ilayaraja or Rajasaranam and carry on your sycophancy for want of better pursuits. No wonder, you have to wage a lonely battle coz you can't even get a jalra here.

u dumb ARR detractors..ARR has achieved heights that no other MD can even think off..simply by posting stupid shameless comments, you cannot hide the truth that ARR is the best..He has proved and continues to prove that he is the best..instead of wasting ur time and energy pulling the ARR fans' legs, its better to write something good abt ur fav MDs!!So Mr Sabapathy, due to my sympathy, I let you go!!run away and dont come back to this thread..get it into ur dumb head!!

Its obvious you dont have the guts to post in your own name. Didn't it ever strike you that you are the biggest insult to ARR? He will spend his life weeping for having a fan like you :-)

And BTW, if you really had an education, let your posts show it. Don't just swear like a schoolkid learning abuses for the first time.

Sabapathy, the point is bloom is spelled wrong. it bloop, so bloomer becomes blooper, bloomie is bloopie. now wait a minute here: bloopie is the key to the problem. like the black people say b lack with hard accent on b, say b loopie. now say, b loop ie.... that is how Rahman got the award. for b loops! i.e.

Chandler, nowhere did I make the demand that one has to talk about IR - thats just your conclusion, hardly my intention. I am fully aware that there are some 2000+ threads on IR in this forum and I trust they have discussed the man or his music substantially.
I merely expressed resentment that for a guy to praise ARR, the nick IR was unnecessary, it is a solid provocation to begin another dirty fight. And its a known fact that guy posting in that IP does rabble-rousing in several threads, which is what I condemned.
Correct me if I am wrong.

yes IR nick was unnecessary for a topic on ARR. Few people are hell bent upon creating bad vibes.
Another thing I notice is that any topic on ARR has more postings by IR fans than ARR fans themselves. I suggest IR fans keep to IR postings and dont come here and post unwanted messages. ARR fans too should show same courtsey.
But then if that happens then newtfmpage forums would lose all the masala and fun ..what say??

A Question !!! What does a guy with a real name as Ilayaraja comes and posts such comment ? What do you do in that case ? You just can't judge a person's name from IP addresses. What would you do then ?

I AM A MALAYALEE. but i enjoy tamil film music and knows as much about TFM as an average tamil guy knows. i am a great fan of SPB, TMS, AM Raja , KJY (in tamil) and the composers MSV, RMoorthy (the pair), MAHDevan, Pukazhendi, DAKSMoorthy, Ilayaraja and ARR.
.
i find it surprising that some ARR fans want to run down IR, by comparing him with ARR. to me, it is too early to compare ARR with IR. IR has already topped the pinacle of creativity, and is incomparable, truely non-pareil, not only in tamil, but in any indian language. ARR has shown flashes of brilliance, but many of those nice tunes we listened to have already faded, and would not go into a collector's bag of nostalgia, say 10 years hence.
.
i can discern the echo (not influence) of some famous western songs in the BGM, and in the tunes of ARR. ARR's creativity has somehow reached a dead-end, and he keeps re-inventing (literally) himself, despite his protestations to the contrary in various interviews. the songs lack unity/harmony and easily slip out of one's memory. if we keep aside our inferiority complex which makes us rush to appreciate anything the West takes a fancy to (in this case ARR's music), our objectivity would tell us that ARR has to go a long way, and re-discover the creativity he displayed in Roja and a few of his earlier efforts, to aspire to be where IR is.
.
I find it strange that a number of Tamilians speak ill of Ilayaraja - a creator who happens in a thousand years, a true representative of the natural Dravidian genius - whereas in malayalam (where he has composed for only a select few films) he is considered as an incomparable maker of music. we Malayalees like ARR too, but consider IR something special. non-pareil.

strummer: Wonderful. man, i thought IR was not eternal in Kerala for his mal songs! You made good points but it is the generation gap thing. that collective association of great composers lasted one generation, now it is a transition stage. ARR is just a powerful inlfuential commercial tool for investors like Webber to cater to a very proerous tourist and immigrant population of "south Asians." Easily acceptable music by a vast cross section of novice and young demographics from the regions, not soemthin IR or any other geniuses can score over with their high level compositions just like Bach Mozart will not capture the layman' imagination.
btw, what is your opoinion of Arjunan, Devarajan?
