  I saw a song with Arjun and Simran, recently in DD Podhigai and thought its from Ezhumalai. The song's tune was same as the Nadeem Shravan song 'Dil jigar nazar jya hai' from the Divya Bharathi starrer Dil Ka Kya Kasoor!
  
  Is that indeed from Ezhumalai? Or is there any other Arjun Simran movie?

  I think vaname ellai is by S.A.Rajkumar. Listen to SPB's awsome voice in " Silendru" in Ezhumalai.
  
  The tune is so much like "malare Mounama" from Karna by Vidhyasagar.

  'Vaanamee Ellai' is by SAR ? Come-on, Don't insult maragathamaNi, I am sure SAR can never come-up with a 'quality' album like Vaanamee ellai or Azhagan !

  Its 'Deva Ragam', Had couple of good numbers - Azakiya Kaarththikai TheepangaL aadum and YaaYaaYaa Yadhava,
  
  Problem with MaragathamaNi is consistency I believe, he was not 'that' good in all his albums !
  Any cricketer coming to your mind when I say this ? ;-)

  I think Manisharma has used all songs from his telugu hit 'Narasimha Naidu' (movie itself is remake of this) into 7Malai,
  
  Coming back to MaragathamaNi, I am listening to his Azhagan songs in Raaga.com after a long gap ... wonderful album, not even a single song can be ignored from this song, each one has something or other to enjoy - esp. saathi malli, thaththithoom and sangeetha swarangaL ! Its a good album in terms of lyrics also (Surprisingly, no vairamuthu involved in this album, who was the asthana kavinjar in KB's movies then !)
  
  BTW, Just curious - Can't MaragathamaNi compose a song without SPB and / or Chitra ? :-)
