Old Vs New singers

Hi friends ..
some fresh topics .....I feel New singers are better collectively than the old singers ...Now we do not have a SPB or PBS or TMS but we have lot of singers who complement each other ..In olden days ther were only two or three who sang all the songs modulating their voices .....Induvidually they were and are great ..But today lot of new singers have come ,each complementing each other ..
for example enever we had voive similar to Karthick TIPPU ,UNNI krishgnan ,Balram ......SO the variety of songs are there ..In olden days songs had depth but lacked variety ...what do usay friends ..?

  -Old singers knew what they were singing hence how to sing. New ones have absolutely no idea what the heck they are singing let alone how to sing.
  
  -Old singers career was based on effort, musical knowledge and talent. New ones career is based on pure luck, politics and of course computers.

  Thats true we have fresh talents like Unnikrishnan,Srinivas,Harish Raghavendra etc and so on but these poeople say that they were inspired by singers like TMS,SPB,PBS and so on.What do we say about this?

  First off, what is the premise on which the thread is supposed to continue? Mumbai Ramki has simply concluded that new singers are better than old singers because they complement each other. What is this supposed to mean?
  
  I would expect someone starting this kind of a thread to provide some solid points as to why he/she feels that new singers are better than the old ones. Just shooting off whatever that comes to one's mind a given moment as a thread is not going to be of any use.
