Pre-MSV Music Director

Hi Guys...

i think only from MSV era and onwards the music directors made huge impact on movies,
even though the MD's before that made no-less contribution but their work, often been forgotten..

can we list some of them, and possibly please provide some link, where we can get to taste their composition...please

  Pre MSV was singers like MKT,PUC, NSK,TMS,Seerkazhi .Paran, many songs from SOTD , fall in this era.

  Paran: Before Viswanathan and Ramamurthy duo we had, to the extent I can recall:
  G.Ramanathan
  K.V.Mahadevan
  R.Sudharsanam
  Papanasam Sivan (the famous composer)
  S.M.Subbiah Naidu
  S.Dakshinamoorthy
  C.R.Subbaraman
  I remember any more I will post again. You will find the songs by these MDs in any old songs page. Or, try musicindiaonline. Unfortunately we have lost many of the old movies and records,a lot of them 78 rpm.

  Paran: Actually, they have listed all music director in this website along with some of their movies. T.R.Paapa is another one I should have mentioned.

  Is it a concious effort to undermin TKR. All along due credits are given to MSV and great fan following for MSV. All great songs were of MSV/TKR. With the duo split, neither could came back to the original form. MSV IMHO, sustained because of MGR & better PRO.
