Why has Uma Ramanan not been given the due credit?

All times in EST +10:30 for IST.

I hope u all will agree that Uma Ramanan is a superb singer and still sings well, unlike many other singers of her age. (those who saw the AV ramanan light music pgmme on SUN TV on Apr 21st will agree).
I don't understand why she has not been given more songs, and even now, why do ARR,IR and others don't give her songs.
any specific reasons?

  The fact is Uma Ramanan was given MORE songs than she probably deserved, by IR :-)
  (IR has been giving her songs continuously even in the 90s..havent you heard Kaatrukenna veli, Mahanadhi songs?)

  can anyone forget the songs "Aanandha raagam" (panneer pushpangal), "Manjal veyyil" (Nandu), "Poonkathavey" (Nizhalgal), just to name a few for IR-UR combination?
  my humble request is, if u dont like a person, pls avoid bad comments on them. v r here just to appriciate music and the people concerned with music... mudslingers can take leave, period.

  In Koil Pura, it was a beautiful number by PS + UR under IR (Amudhe thamizhe azhagiya mozhiye enadhuyire..)
  
  How abt "kannane nee vara kathirundhen" in "Thendrale ennai thodu"
  
  It was a treat in "Keladi kanmani" UR's song with KJY "Nee padhi naan padhi kanne"
  
  She was very much used for melodious songs (mostly by IR). No doubt she proved herself.

  Vijay, so u feel that she is not a good singer. And pray, may i know what do u mean by MORE?
  As compared to other singers, the songs are quite less, and i am sorry i don't know if she has sung many songs for ARR, Vidyasagar and other MDs in the past 7-8 yrs.
  
  If Melody queen Janaki can "sing" for the Rasna ad(which sounds terrible with her current voice), surely Uma ramanan too can sing many songs currently.
  
  Pls note that i am not against any particular singer, but would also not like to see a talent not utilised properly.

  am not against anyone in particular.. and not against vijay too... my statement was a generalised one... after seeing lotsa tug-of-war in the postings, i made that... sorry if i had hurt anyone, esp. vijay....
  now back to the thread, "mannava mannava" from "Walter vetrivel".. another excellent piece...
  i wonder why IR uses some exceptionally talented singers like SNSurendar, Deepan Chakravarthy, Krishnachandar and many more female singers like Sujatha (she came back after a long time thru ARR after introd. by IR in "Gayathri" and used in "Johny" etc), Jency, Minmini and of course, UR... why did the MDs including IR ignored these singers and went for SPB,SJ, Chitra etc etc?
  just to note that am not against SPB,SJ et al.. SJ is my fav.. but people wd hv loved to hear those singers given chances too..!!
