  I agree that it is Revathi bcos though she has done less films(not even 50 if tamil is taken) she has done a wide range of characters so naturally.In fact K.B had told in one awards function
  " Nammidaye Saavithri illai endra kuraiyai teerka vandavar Revathi"

  I would agree to Kamesh but when asked to mention only one person,I would say it is Revathi only. More than Tamil, her Malayalam movies prove her versatality.Though she has not even done 20 mal films, each one is popular & different.she is definitely equal to Kamal (i.e as an actress & a dancer though it is said that urvashi is "penn kamal")

  My vote goes to Urvasi ... she's pretty, can articulate her lines really well, has this propensity to make not-so-funny comedy hilarious and can also do serious roles. IMHO, Revathy sometimes over-acts ... in some movies, she is a bit unnatural (esp when she has to cry for her role - her voice goes all squeaky and you don't really understand what she is saying) ...

  My choice is 'Sri Vidhya'.
  Though she was unlucky as heroine material (like running around trees and so..), this beautiful actress has proved herself as a very versatile actress starting from Notrukku Nooru (Though not her first film).
  Her acting prowess excelled in her 80s Malayalam movies when she was lovingly called 'chechchi'.
  
  A little unlucky on the personal front, she is one actress who has made a difference as a singer(App Rag..), mother(many films), wife(Avar enakke Sontham , Imayam, AK47(kannada), Kattathe kizhi koodu(Mallu)and recent Kathal Kavithai) and other innumerable roles.
  
  Sure the best actress in the last 25 years

  I am wondering at whether this thread has any relevance to TFM ("M" -- does it stand for Music??). Hope we do not make a mockery by starting threads like, "Goundamani or Senthil -- Who is better?", or "Judo Rathnam or Vikram Dharma -- Who is the best Stunt Director of TF World?" etc. There would be no end to it!!
