  Hey!Here I go... Iwould like to discuss Mr. S.Dhanu in Pudhu Paadagan..great melodies, what orchestration..easily the best album of the late 80's. Likewise, Rajesh kanna of one Ramarajan movie(nAMMA OORU nayagan) ..one great senti song"Jannaluku pakkathile chinna rosa, adhai ninaichu dhaan vaadudhamma indha raasa"...lovely lyrics, soulful singing by Ezhisai sigaram Rajesh kanna himself and heart-stirring music.

  Other music directors have been discussed, check the archives and revive the ones you like. IR and ARR are discussed more than any other MD since the predominant age group of forum participants is in the early 20s and 30s.
  
  Raj,
  I have heard that Pudhu Paadagan was actually done by L.Vaidhyanaathan; Dhanu just put his name on all aspects of the movie. Anyway, it had the rousing "Aththai Maga Vaadi Un Manasath Thaadi" and the decent duet "Athikaalai Naan Paadum Suba Raagamae".

  Yes Kanes!
  There are many MDs, but were not recognized in TFM.
  I'll start with SPB as a MD. SPB was MD for few movies, 'Thudikkum Karangal' and 'Sigaram'. Both movies contains good songs, but he couldn't succeeded.
  
  Few others come to my mind is 'Siddartha', 'RangaRo', 'Amsalega', 'Devendran', 'Raveendran', 'Sivaji Raja'. All of them have few movies to their credit.

  Oops, I missed out one, 'MSV.Murali'. He was md for just only one movie, 'Karuppu Roja'. The movie didn't do well in box office, so does the MD. He dissapeared from TFM. There are few good songs, but I liked, 'Thottu vida Thottu vida...' song by spb.

  SM, don't know really. I picked up these MDs from the album that I have.
  
  Now Devendran. Was 'Mannukkul Vairam' his first movie? Really good songs. He had really good movies for his credit such as Vedham Puthithu, Kanam Kortaar avarkaley, Kaalaiyum Neeyey Maalaiyum Neeye, Uzhaithu Vazha Vendum. None of the movie did very well in the box office. Perhaps few more successful movies would have helped him to be successful in TFM.

  Manoj-Kiyan: Manoj-Kiyan had provided really great melodies. IMO, Tholvi Nilai Yena from Oomai Vizhikal is the master piece. Such great piece of work by him. Then, Thulli thulli Pogum penne..., Azhakanaa Pulli Maaney... and many more great hits. However, as usual Manoj and Kiyan split up (Shankar-Ganesh, Visvanathan-Ramamoorthy). Kiyan varma continued his work in few movies but wasn't successful at all. Manoj dissappeared and again appeared in 'Endrendum Kaathal' in the name of Manoj Pat nakar. The songs aren't bad at all.

  I believe Manoj Bhatnagar is also the director of the Vijay, Rambha *er 'Endrendrum Kaadhal'.
