Great songs with an element of eeriness in them...

There r some great songs which have an eerie effect when we listen to them.Good examples could be "deiveega rAgam" (ullAsa paravaigaL) and "rAjA magaL" (piLLai nilA). This is NOT bcos of the context of the song. In fact I hadn't seen both the movies when I listened to them for the first time.

Any such experiences???

  As madhan put it rightly , the starting of the son g deiveega rAgam (the humming) , it has some amAnushyam in it.

  Madhan, you are right about the 100vdhu naal song, sung by SPS. It is indeed very very scary. Melodius but I rewind to Ulagum Muzhuthum Pazhaya Raathri or Vizhiyile un Vizhiyile or I totally fast forward the song!!!!

  Madhan, correction the song is by Vani Jayaram, it goes something Uyirile, uraviley, uruguthey .. va, vaa.. Naan paadum paadal, etc,... Or, is it Uruguthey, Idhayame,?????? (I am searching for that tape in the meantime) Let me tell you again, it is a real eerie song. Tops the chart here.

  Just remembered, another eerie music is in Muthumani Chudarey Vaa (the interludes when the kid is hiding and cannot be found or something. Only IR can give this dramatic scores.)

  One more song.. 'Kandaen engum pooomagal naatiyam.. kaatriniley varum geedham' - Vani Jeyaram version is really haunting with scary interludes by IR.

  Another song by Vani jayaram from the movie -Kalangalil aval vasantham (old one picturised on Sri vidya)

  Kunguma kolangal koil kondada kothai nayagan varuvanadi -from Annan oru koil.
